Combing my little sister's hair into a little pony tail that flicks at the bottom. I think about 6 Marlborough Drive and how I was going to have to School today and visit Miss Davies. Look at her and answer with what she will think is a smile when really I will be sitting there in disgust.
I tie the little pink bow that Madi made for me into Sofia's little pony tail. I pack her a tiny bag that has Huggles (Her favourite pink bunny), Diapers, A little sippy bottle and a blue knitted jumper. She is going for a visit to the Garcia's house.
Peyton and Madi have become Sofia's new babysitters because Sofia's Dad, Paul. Left a couple of weeks ago and hasn't returned. Mum thinks he has gotten back together with his ex-wife. Good riddens I say.
Waiting by the White Birch tree that I normally meet Nikita at before school I see a notification flash up on my phone.
'Hey Vee, Just head to School without Me I still haven't decided whether or not I am coming to School because you know... The whole Miss Davies crap. Love you xx Might see you at School! -Nikita xox'
I stare at the message for a long time. Well, what feels like a long time and I reply...
'Okay Nik! Fair enough :) Love ya xx Talk later -Violeta x'
I burst through the Homeroom doors exactly on time.
"Ahh... Violeta! Just on time what a lucky girl you are." Miss Davies sweetly smiles as I pace down to the back of the class.
"Yeah... I guess you could say that." I snap back at Miss Davies! I try my best to not make eye contact. Miss Davies gets the point and doesn't even attempt to start more conversation. I sit waiting for the whole of Homeroom waiting to get a text from Nikita saying something cute like...
OMG! I can't wait till I get to see your beautiful face after Homeroom. I will be waiting outside xx
But nothing.... I spent the rest of my classes staring at the classroom doors hoping to see Nikita pulling a face through the hole in the door before entering.
Nothing at all... The School day was just like the days before I met Nikita. No enjoyment at lunchtimes, No little pink notes in the shape of planes during English.
After School I walk over to Starbucks and buy Nikita, Madi and Myself a drink! Candy Floss Frappe for Madi, Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappe for me and of course a Double Chocolatey Chip Frappe for Nik.
Walking down the path to Nikita's house, I feel really happy because I am finally gonna be reunited with my other half.
Knock! Knock! Madi opens the door with a big smile on her face.
"Hey Madi, I got you a Candy Floss Frappe." I say as I hand her the cup that looks about the size of her. "Can you tell your Mum that I am home and I am going to be up in Nik's room."
"Of course. Sofias asleep, I put her asleep myself." Madi says with open hands as she reaches out for the frappe. Her little eyes light up as the plastic cup is clenched in her grip. Her cute little smile makes my heart feel warm and light.
"Well, Arn't you a clever girl Madi?" I say as I pat her on the head. She giggles. I walk up the stairs and knock on Nik's door.
"Hey Nikita, It's Violeta here open up." I bellow through the keyhole.
No answer. That's odd maybe she has got earphones on or something. I open up the door and stare at her bed. I knew she would be there listening to music and tapping away at her laptop.
She wasn't. I drop the frappes and scream at the top of my lungs. I rush over to her bed and kneel next to her shaking her arm hoping she will wake up.
She doesn't. She can't be....
Madi and Peyton run up the stairs and barrel through the door.
I turn around and stare at them tears streaming down my face. I have to admit I was not ready for what was going to happen next...
