Johnny's POV

The Caro Sisters were irritating, but damn, they were helpful.

Despite the endless arguments on the quickest way to High Plains Cavern, about saving up for mecha beasts and other petty things, they actually helped, and they didn't disappoint me, like every other civilian that has whenever they offer to help us in a mission. They didn't interrupt me when I told them details, they didn't question them unless it was for a good reason, or to correct something I fucked up majorly.

That was definitely a first.

As we finally arrived at High Plains Cavern, the whole cavern was consumed by fire, chaos erupting everywhere, Ataro's men wrecking mayhem all over the place, capturing people and seperating them into five trucks: one for grown men, one for grown women, one for little girls and one for little boys. The last truck was filled to the brim with canisters filled with captured slugs. I froze as I watched the scene outfold in front of my eyes, and panic surged into my veins, flowed in my bloostream as my breaths became irregular and shorterned, my eyes wide with fear as my mind flashed back to the burning house. Blakk's men rampaging through the house, grabbing my father and my brother as I hid in the hidden cabinet under the sink, shaking and shivering as fire raged on outside the kitchen. As a pillar collapsed on my abusive mother, her blaster clattering towards me, how the compassionate, loving mother I knew was gone, replaced by a vicious monster as she shouted at me to give her the blaster.

"Earth to Johnny!!" Reyna snapped, pulling me back to reality, my mother's angered eyes and the flaming house melting in front of my eyes, the flames remaining as they engulfed the homes of the people of High Plains Cavern. I turned to the three sisters, Reyna nodding to Blue, who nodded back, loading her blaster.

"So, where did you say your assosiates took the refugees again?" Blue asked, and I responded,

"To Slyren's Inn, in Low Rock Cavern." She nodded, looking around as she seemed to be recollecting something, before snapping her finger, a smile appearing on her lips.

"So, here's the plan. Behind the hospital, there's a path to that inn. I've stayed there before. Tabby and Reyna will work on hijacking a van, while you get civilians to the back of the hospital, and I'll guard them until they get the van. They'll drive the van to the back of the hospital, and we'll load as many as we can before Tabby drives away with them, and she'll drive back and forth to get them there. Reyna and I will guard the path, you need to get refugees to the back of the hospital. Understand?" Blue rambled on, her dark brown eyes filled with determination, her grip on her blaster tight, her knuckles gleaming white. I just stood in shock as she toldme the entire plan, shellshocked that she not only helped, but came up with a good plan while I was having a flashback.

"Y-yeah. I understand. Let's move!" I ordered, and they nodded. Tabby and Reyna ran towards the trucks, immediately working on hijacking one as Blue ran towards the hospital, on ready. I ran into the nearest building, which was a school, flames licking the shelves, coating the books that were set aflame, turning into ash, the heat nearly unbearable. I took off my jacket, tying it around the bottom half of my face so I didn't suffocate as my eyes searched desperately for survivors, saving them, bringing them to the location, then going back, and then the cycle continued as I finished scouting each building, my energy diminishing, my legs aching as I brought what seemed like half of the entire High Plain's Cavern back to the Caro Sisters. As I sat down, half of the citizens safely evacuated with the plan the Caro Sisters came up with, the adrenaline and fumes I've been running on finally burned out, my mucles starting to ache, my vision blurring. I heard voices around me as I leaned back against the wall, closing my eyes.
