Matthew awoke next to his wife like usual. He turned over to look at her and smiled. He couldn't help it. She was just so beautiful in the morning. Especially today for some odd reason. Maybe it was the way the light illuminated the dust particles around her, but she was just so perfect lying there.

Seeming to forget that she was asleep, he wrapped her up in his arms. Stephanie awakened with a start, but quickly relaxed when she realized that it was just her husband being a bit cuddly in the morning. "Hey there," she murmured, snuggling back into him.

"Mmm," he hummed back, nuzzling into her hair. "What day is it?" he quietly murmured.

"Uh," Stephanie paused for a second. It took her a second before she could remember exactly what day it was yesterday. "It's the 19th."

"What month?"

"May. May 19th, why?"

Matthew reached forward and kissed her cheek. Stephanie turned over to look at him. "Now why did you do that?"

"I don't know," he admitted. "It's just something about hearing that date makes me want to kiss you."

"May 19th?" Steph clarified.

Another kiss. And another kiss. And another. "Aah," Stephanie complained, trying to move away from the oncoming attack. "Staaahp!"

Matthew squeezed her tight in a hug. "What is so special about May 19th?"

Stephanie smiled and looked up at him. "It's our anniversary." She reached up and was able to block another kiss with her finger.

"Well that explains why I want to kiss you."

Most of the time, Matthew didn't do much. Well, he didn't interact with people much, that is. Usually he just stayed upstairs writing theories on retro games and recording scripts; today he was restless.

Within an hour of writing, research and measuring, he was downstairs looking for something to do or someone to talk to. "Chris?" he asked, seeing the other man walk by.

"Yeah?" Chris answered, pausing.

"What day is it?"

Chris glanced at his phone. "May 19th."

Unconsciously, Matthew beamed. "Do you know what's special about today?"

Chris glanced around nervously. He had barely seen MatPat at all for the last few months, but now here he was grilling him on questions that he didn't know the answer to. "Not off hand."

"Shoot," Matt cursed. "Neither do I."

"Oh," Chris said, trying to hide his disappointment. For a moment the "artist" had thought his boss had gotten better. "Usually you travel this time of year."

MatPat frowned even deeper. "What for?"

Chris thought for a moment. "Your anniversary?"

"That's why I'm so happy!" Mathtew exclaimed. "It's my anniversar-" he flipped into a frightened tone "It's my annivers- I didn't get her a gift." His smile crashed down within a second. "Can you help me?"

Chris nodded. "What do you need?" He instinctively waved as Jason entered the room.

Matthew looked over at Jason. "Oh, hey Jason." He turned back to Chris. "I need you to get a white and red rose for Stephanie. Just one of each."

Jason froze as soon as he spotted his boss. It'd been... forever since Matt had been casually out and about. It was, to say the least,  a shock. The employee froze, half way through sipping a Diet Coke (who's wondrous flavor was still staying nice and tangy in his mouth), and continued to stand there without moving.
