The next day, Castiel wasn't bothering to tolerate Sera. He instead convinced Dean to go out with him into town to explore. Cindy and Sam agreed it was best they stay in Norman a few days to make sure it really was Sera causing the strange weather. The plan was to keep her as happy as possible and see if it stopped. Sera needed a bit of extra care getting around without a stick, but both hunters were happy to help.

While Sam was on his laptop, chatting idly with Sera, Cindy stepped outside to take a breather. You didn't understand why Castiel couldn't just see that Sera was a child. She didn't seem to be a threat to Cindy, and if she became one...they'd cross that bridge when it came to it.

"Cindy?" Cindy tensed at Roy's deep voice, turning to him with a risen brow.

"Uh, yeah?" She didn't conversing with Roy. Maybe it was her lingering bitterness or spite, but she preferred to avoid Roy to forget the mourning for her possible father figure she could have had.

Roy stepped closer to her, shoulder bumping hers when he leaned against the wall besides her. The action made her flinch, shifting to creat distance. She hated being so skittish around him, but he'd caused her emotion distress on many levels over the years. His disappearance left her to feel outcasted for a few years. Then she began crying at night for someone to hold her like the child she was when she lost her mother, wishing someone was there to ramble on about her crushes and doubts and craving affection from a man that wasn't looking for romance or sex.

She had wanted her father there, to diminish and cope with her sorrows. Instead, she had to suffer through them alone. Cindy felt angry that he hadn't been there when she needed him, yet he had the audacity to say all he wanted to be was a good father to her.

"Cindy..." No. He shouldn't have the right to sound so lost when he was the one that left her alone for years. "Will you please stop avoiding me?" Roy's creamy blue eyes looked at her with such hope that it made it hard to breath.

"I'm not avoiding you. I just don't like you in my presence." Cindy said apathetically.

"Cindy, please, work with me-" He tried to take her hand, hold it like you would a scared child's hand, but she snatched it away.

"Work with you? There's no work to be done." Cindy snarled. "You should have thought about that before leaving."

"Please, Cindy you have to understand that I didn't have a choice-"

"You had a choice! Everyone has a choice! I chose to kill mum, to save myself. I live with my choices, Roy. Learn to live with yours." Cindy spat, stomping past him to go back to her motel room.

"Cindy, they would have killed you and Ja-"

"You were safe." Cindy interrupted. "You were safe for twenty years. We could have been safe together. Family means no one gets left behind, even a Disney movie can tell you that." She scowled, face contorted in rage. "Either way, we died. I killed mum, and then I killed myself to be who I am now. A hunter. It's a chain reaction, Roy. You left, mum met Jason, he left while I rested in hospital, traumatised. Then, mum got possessed and I killed her. Now we're here, six years later, and I'm a mess. THAT'S WHEN YOU SHOW UP!"

She knew her eyes were watering in her rage, and she hated it. Wet anger meant she still cared, that she was still affected when she just wanted it to be over. She wanted Roy to disappear, or turn back the clock and make everything alright again.

"Baby girl...I didn't mean for this to happen." Roy stepped closer, hesitant and slow, hand inching closer to wipe away her straying tear. Cindy turned her head away from his hand, teeth digging into the soft flesh of her inner lips.
