Prologue

Prologue:

I never thought I would see her again, but after a few years she showed up again. Under a new last name of course, but it was still her, and every time I tried to kiss her, she burst into flames, dying in a flood of shadows. Every time!! Do you have any idea how frustrating it is to have the one you love killed over and over? No I don’t think so! But I can tell you it sucks. My heart breaks every time she leaves and when it finally heels, she turns up again. Every 17th year she returns, and every time she dies. I can’t take it much longer. It has been going on for too long now. I have to break the curse that binds us, and kills her. I have to try, and I will do anything, so it doesn’t happen again. I won’t lose her again. Oh and one more thing: did I mention that I can’t die? Like never? Why, you may ask, because I’m a fallen angel. My name is Liam and this is the story about me and the love of my life, Ilona.
