Mimi is dead, and preteen Adam is left in a world of chaos and emptiness. His father, Jim Bond, is left wondering what to do. Maybe... a dog could help?
2. People at the Side
As a child, Aurora lives a life micromanaged by the non-autistic adults around her. One day, they take her to a charity walk for the group Autism Rescue, where she meets someone surprising. Someone who has more to say than just giving orders.
3. Special Pink Things
Young Aurora wanders away from her father in the store because she sees a pink balloon. And she runs into a psychologist named Christine Fairchild who is out shopping with her daughter, Tara.
4. Happy Halloween
About 5 years before the beginning of Thousand Dollar Friend, Chrissy takes her little sister Dawn and some friends trick-or-treating.
