When the 2nd of December had actually rolled around I had been apprehensive to leave. Elisa had been more awake this past week and I had been reluctant to leave her when she was beginning to recover. Of course, however, Elisa being Elisa had shoved me verbally from the room, ensuring that I was to have fun and winked at me as I closed the door, reminding me of the moving in present she had so thoughtfully bought me. It was a present that I hadn't told Draco about as that had been one of Elisa's instructions when I had opened the matching set of lacy underwear. I stuck my tongue out at her as I grabbed Draco's hand and we apparated back to the house, ready to prepare for our date night.
The dress I was wearing clung to my curves and brushed the floor as I walked up the stairs to the fancy seafood restaurant that Draco had booked. Underneath my dress was the fateful lingerie set given to me by my pain-in-the-arse best friend. I chuckled to myself as I took Draco's hand and leaned into him.
"Th-th-thank you f-for th-i-is Dray," I smiled up at him and he beamed down at me.
"You're welcome, Lia and honestly, without getting too sappy just yet, you are the best thing that could have ever happened to me,"
My smile widened as tears tugged at my eyes but I shook them away. I wouldn't cry, not yet at least. We allowed the muggle waiter to lead us to our tables and thanked him politely as he hurried off to process our drinks order. While we waited, I looked around me and made mental notes of all of those we had sat near to us. At the table to our left sat a group of business men who looked as though they were talking about something very serious. They all wore tweed suits and each of them looked as though they had a lot of money. I didn't stare for too long, afraid of what might happen if I did. Just then, the waiter returned with our drinks and some menus, leaving us once more to decide what it was we wanted to eat. My stomach rumbled loudly as I scanned the menu and I became aware of Draco laughing at me from across the table.
"Sh-shut it, Malfoy!" I chuckled as I stuck my tongue out at him discretely.
My stomach was aching for me to just choose a meal while my had was freaking out about the cost of everything here. I shot Draco a few concerned looks at the prices of the meal but he simply laughed, reminding me that it was our anniversary and that I could have whatever I wanted. Rolling my eyes at him, I turned my attention back to my menu, jsut as I saw our waiter hurrying back towards us. Well I guessed I would have to make my decision very quickly.Even though at the time I hadn't really know what I had ordered it turned out to be delicious. I had no idea that I liked crab but here we are, you learn something new every day. Draco and I were currently wandering, hand in hand, through the quiet streets of London when my boyfriend turned into another building, confusing me to no end.
"Dray, wh-where are w-w-wee go-going now?" I asked and I saw Draco smirk.
As we crossed over the threshold I suddenly realised we were in a club and I snorted with laughter.
"I can-can-cannot dance to s-save my life!" I shrieked as Draco pulled me onto the dance floor.
My boyfriend simply laughed at me as he positioned our hands acordingly and started to spin us around. The last time I had danced this way was at the Yule Ball in our Fourth Year when Draco and I went to the dance as best friends, nothing more. I remembered those years fondly and I smiled up at Draco as we danced now, sharing my happy memories in that one glance. Just then I saw blue and red sparks flying from the corner and I suddenly realised that this wasn't just any club, this was a wizarding club. I chuckled to myself and shook my head, allowing Draco to spin me around a few more times. As the song came to an end, Draco took a step back.
"Do you want a drink?" he asked and I nodded, glancing around at the other club-goers.
"B-but-butterb-beer please."
Draco nodded and hurried off to the witch behind the bar, leaving me stood alone for a moment. It wasn't long before he came back, two Butterbeers in his hand and a proud grin on his face.
"Thanks. What a-are you sm-smiling at?" I asked warily and Draco shook his head.
"Remember when we were little and we found my mother's collection of muggle records?" he asked and I nodded, the memories flooding back as a song started that I don't think I would ever forget.
