Ron hurtled towards Hermione, to pull her from the wreckage of the chandelier and Draco let Elisa and I go, his free hand coming up to brush the tears away from my face. But suddenly, Harry had leapt over an armchair and was wrestling the two wands Draco had collected and his own wand from him. He succeeded and quickly turned on Greyback, hexing him with all three wands. As the werewolf was thrown into the air and came crashing back down, Narcisa rushed over and pulled us all out of further harm before whirling around and pointing her wand at the door.
"Dobby!" she screamed and we all rounded on the house elf. "You! You dropped the chandelier!"
As Dobby trotted into the room and began to defend himself, Bellatrix screaming at Narcissa to kill him, Ron stumbled over to Elisa. In the scuffle, Elisa's sleeve had ridden up and her forearm was on full show, Ron's eyes slipping straight to it.
"You..." he began not knowing how to bring it up.
"Ron, I--" Elisa wasn't able to finish as Ron cut her off.
"You... you took it? You're one of them?"
"Ron, let me explain," begged Elisa but Ron shook his head.
"Explain what? That you're a traitor?" he growled and Elisa looked as though she was going to cry.
"No, of course not! Ron... I-I love you!" countered Elisa, yet Ron simply scoffed.
"No you don't. You wouldn't have done it if you did." Draco and I were stood there, not knowing how to react as Ron ripped into Elisa. I wanted to step in but I knew I shouldn't. This was their fight and they needed to have it.
"I... I did it because I love you!"
Ron stepped forward and in Elisa's shock, managed to take both Juliet and Joshua straight from her arms.
"I'm not letting you touch them, either of them, ever again," he said, his grip tight on his children.
"What?" said Elisa, her voice hoarse as the severity of what had just happened sunk in.
"It's over. Goodbye, Elisa." With that, Ron turned away, back towards what was unfolding in the drawing room.
"Ron, please--" But Elisa was interrupted by Harry.
"Ron, catch and -GO!" Harry yelled, throwing one of the wands at Ron which he somehow caught despite holding a baby in each arm.
Without so much as a backward glance at his now ex-girlfriend, Ron hurtled towards Harry and grabbed hold of Dobby's hand as the large group of them disapparated, where to, Merlin knew. Just as they disapparated, Bellatrix flung her silver dagger straight towards them, it disappearing into the spinning coalescence of witches and wizards. Silence hung over the drawing room before Bellatrix screamed. Lucius sat up, confused at the mess his drawing room was now in. Greyback had still not awoken but the snatchers were also beginning to come to. Lucius was now on his feet and had come to stand much nearer to us as Narcissa looked around for her wand and upon picking it up from the floor, she waved it at the chandelier and began to put her house back together. Bellatrix shrieked that she needed a wand and stared pointedly at Elisa.
"Give me yours, little Stevenson! It'll have to do!"
Elisa stumbled towards Bellatrix and handed her wand over. I kept a tight grip on mine, the only one of the three of us to still have it.
"Ophelia," barked Lucius and I looked up a him. "Wand."
Well, looks like I spoke too soon. I nodded and went to hand him my wand but he tutted at me and gripped my chin in his strong grasp.
"Now, now, Miss Avondale, where are you manners? What do we say when we're asked to do something?"
"Y-yes, Si-Sir," I trembled and Lucius nodded before dropping my chin and snatching my wand from me.
I heard Bellatrix cackle and murmur something about my stutter before my boyfriend piped up.
"Father, do not talk to her that way," hissed Draco and Lucius waved his hand at us dismissively.
"Scabior, take the three of them back to the cellar."
Scabior walked over to us, a wicked glint in his eye as he herded us towards the cellar. Once we were back in that dingy room, I realised it was now empty. Clearly, Dobby had rescued Luna, Griphook and Mr Ollivander as well. I sighed as I heard the door slam behind us and Elisa collapsed in a corner. I looked over at her warily. She had just lost both her boyfriend and babies in one day - I knew she wouldn't be up for anything, let alone any conversation or human contact. I felt Draco pull me into his side and I tried to stop myself from sobbing as my boyfriend held me together. The cellar door opened behind us and I lifted my head to see Narcissa entering the dungeon, clothes in her hands.
"Mum," whispered Draco, his voice cracking and she pulled him into a hug.
"I'm so sorry, it'll all be over soon," she reassured us as she handed each me and Draco some more comfortable clothes and kissed the top of my head softly.
She then headed over to Elisa and crouched down before her, setting her clothes down on the floor beside her. They spoke for a while as I changed into the loose t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms that Narcissa had handed me, folding the dress as carefully as I could. When Draco's mother eventually rose from the floor, Elisa was asleep, her clothes changed and her expression peaceful. I smiled and thanked Narcissa, handing her back her dress and heading over to Elisa to settle down next to her, Draco following me after standing to speak to his mother. I felt Draco wrap his arms around me and I settled into his warmth as I gripped Elisa's hand comfortingly. It was just the three of us now, we were all each other had anymore and for Merlin's sake I was going to protect them. For the love of Merlin, I would die before I let them get hurt. All Elisa had done was slept. The basket Narcissa had snuck down for the twins abandoned in the corner. Even days later none of us could get over the shock of what had happened. Sebastian had been in a few times but Elisa never reacted well. The cellar seemed barren, empty with only the three of us. I had to get the fuck out of here, I was going crazy. Draco and I were talking in the corner, softly reassuring each other that it would be okay when my boyfriend realised Elisa had woken up. As I went to stand up, the cellar door was wrenched open as I stared at Sebastian Stevenson, a plate of food in his hands.
"Does he know you're doing this? You're helping his hostages." Yeah, Elisa did not take to seeing her father well. I couldn't say I did either, he had murdered my father after all.
Sebastian said nothing, he simply sighed and headed towards Elisa. Bad move. She tried to move away from him but he grabbed her arm and my best friend smacked him, hard.
"Don't fucking touch me." Sebastian attempted to reason with her but Elisa was really having none of it. "No. You lost the right to call me that when you kidnaped me and ignored your grandchildren." She certainly had a point.
Storming off to an empty corner, Elisa sat on the floor as Draco convinced Sebastian to leave and I picked up the plate of food. Elisa was asleep before I even had the chance to offer her something to eat."Time to prove your worth, Little Stevenson." Bellatrix was bent over Elisa, her taunting rousing me from the fretful nap I had been having.
I watched as Elisa barely resisted, nodding and allowing Bellatrix to drag her out of the cellar as she began screaming for Narcissa to get Elisa ready for the Dark Lord. I shot Draco a terrified look and he pulled me into his side as I stared at the cellar door.
It was a long while before we heard any movement from upstairs. Even then it was only muffled voices but it was something, something that told us that our best friend was alive.
"Do it!" Bellatrix screeched and I flinched at her words. Do what? What were they making Elisa do?
Bellatrix followed this up with something else, much quieter but we heard the sob Elisa let out afterwards. "No! Not Ophelia! Please, no!"
My heart stopped and my blood ran cold. Draco tightened his grip on me.
"Then, do it!" shrieked Bellatrix and I buried my head in Draco's shoulder.
A moment later, we heard the Death Eaters cheering and cackling before Lucius shoved Elisa back into the cellar. She was dressed in much fancier clothes but I didn't focus on that as I hurried over to her, hugging her as she sobbed, Draco wrapping his arms around us both. What the fuck had they made her do?——————————————
Hey guys!
