The ride home was a pretty silent one. Deb produced one of her famous silent treatment throughout the ride home while Lisa looked on in horror.

'I said I was sorry' Lisa said for the thousandth time, rolling her eyes. She didn't know what the fuss was about. It was just a food fight and it had been hilarious anyway. Doughnut shades got exactly what he deserved. She could still imagine how his facial features resembled that of a stone. She giggled loudly before she could stop herself. This drew a curious look rom Deb who turned with one brow raised.

'What's so funny?' she said to Lisa.
'Oh, nothing and you're talking to me now?' she said still smiling to herself. Deb took a deep breath in and slumped on her seat sighing.

'Do I really have a choice? I mean I'm stuck with you in one apartment and obviously I am in your car' she said rolling her eyes.

'Oh come on, today wasn't really all that bad now, was it? I mean it was partly crazy, partly hilarious but amazing all at once'

'You really don't get it, do you? you left me alone with that creep Peter, my hair got all goggly with different types of food I wouldn't even dare try to identify and you sit there driving saying it isn't such a big deal!' Lisa pressed her lips together to suppress a laugh that was threatening to come out.

'Are you laughing at me?' Deb asked her eyes wide like saucers. Now Lisa burst into full blown laughter.

'Better watch the road dweeb' she said putting on her ear piece and closing her eyes.

**************

Lisa and Deb stood in front of their apartment with their bags in hand containing every single thing they had acquired in this life. They stared at the door for quite a bit before.

'That's a terrible door' Lisa blurted out.

'You just had to spoil the moment' Deb said shaking her head vehemently searching for the keys to unlock the door.

'Moment? You were having a moment with the door?' Lisa asked confused.

'No, I was taking this whole moment in; like my first apartment and...arggh never mind' she said when she saw that Lisa was looking at her like she had just grown two heads.

The door made a clicking sound and opened. Lisa and Deb stepped into their apartment. Lisa took a deep breath while closing her eyes.

'Smells like home already' Lisa said opening her eyes.

**************

The door to the room slowly opened and he walked in pulling off his shades. He took off his hood and immediately the scars became quite visible. They stretched on every imaginary line on his back. They told his story, a story that no matter how hard he ran away, he couldn't run away from.

'It looks as if it just happened yesterday' a voice said behind him said slowly.

'Are you just mocking me now?' he said his voice slightly raised. The voice just chuckled and drew closer to him.

'How can I when you are my bloody master?' he spat out in bitter rage.

He turned to look the other man in the eye.

'Respect, show some respect. I saved you from all the troubles you had wrapped yourself in. I made you into who you are now and the reason you are still alive is because of me' he said looking him eye ball to eyeball.

'Respect is earned but I find it hard to respect a man who spends his time saving little college girls. We do not have the luxury for silly emotions' he said his rage growing.
He suddenly pushed him to the wall with so much force before he could blink, holding him by the throat.

'She is not who you think she is' he said, his voice low and hard.

'Oh is Loverboy falling for her already?' he said coughing and laughing under his stranglehold. He freed him letting him fall. He started walking away before he heard him speak.

'Get your head back in the game or she'll be sorry she ever met you' he stopped in his tracks.

'You wouldn't dare' he said. The man smiled back at him.

'Try me'
