Lisa peeped out to the world of students that were seemingly everywhere with one eye and blew a sigh of relief. No one had spared her a look but continued in their rush to finish registration.

This was nothing like high school she thought to herself. There were no bitchy cheerleaders, no bullies, no jocks, and no nerds. Everyone just minded their own business, at least so far.

She heard Deb take a deep breath by her side.

'Well it seems you just got a free pass for looking like a scarecrow on your first-day girl' Deb said chuckling.

'Told you I was fine' Lisa said smirking to herself and feeling smart.

'What the hell happened to your face?' a girl said looking shocked as she passed both girls standing by the car still. Still looking at Lisa, she almost crashed into someone standing in her way.

'Yep, you are totally fine' Deb said giggling out loud this time.

'Oh shut up' Lisa said rolling her eyes.

'Come, let's see if we can find out more about this registration thingy' Lisa said dragging Deb by the hand.

'Ouch, slow down Wonder woman before you break my wrist' Deb said rubbing her pulled wrist as she followed Lisa closely.

The registration had several processes; checking in with the university's administrative quarters which was by far the hardest to pass as all the students were swarming in and out of the office. The woman in charge was pretty fat and round and she chewed aloud showing the gum in her mouth to the irritated students. She would declare a one hour break after two hours to the great displeasure of the students.

Then they had to check in the bursary of the school followed by their different colleges. This was the point in which Lisa and Deb had to go separate ways as Lisa was majoring in criminology while Deb was interested in the health sciences.

Then Lisa had to pick the courses she would do which were mostly courses from psychology, sociology and some traces of courses from the legal or Justice System.

By the end of it all, Lisa was exhausted, her breathing had changed and she was quite aware that she needed a break. Her hair was much more scattered and she had this annoying vein that had escaped and found its way into her forehead. She saw a line of chairs and she dropped exhaustively into the first chair she could lay her hands on.

She could do with a drink she silently thought to herself. Dragging herself up from the chair, she went to the vending machine she had seen a while back. Grabbing a coke, she proceeded to go back to her seat only to meet something she had not quite expected.

Sitting comfortably on her seat was a guy with the darkest shades she had ever seen eating a doughnut. He seemed rather at peace with himself as he feasted on the doughnut with two more wraps by his side.

Lisa didn't care about his doughnuts even if they looked very inviting. All she wanted back was her seat.

'Excuse me, I was sitting right here just a moment ago. Got up to get a drink so I was wondering if you could move over there so that I can sit down', she said pointing to the direction she wanted him to move towards with the hope she was sounding perfectly logically and very polite.

To her great surprise, the guy didn't look like he heard her and went on eating his doughnut staring straight ahead.

'Hey, excuse me?' she said waving her hands in front of him starting to think maybe he was deaf or maybe blind?

He didn't even stop chewing once and just kept staring ahead.

This guy was totally ignoring her she thought to herself, sudden anger flowing through her veins.

'Could you please just move?' she said clenching her jaw. This time, he turned to face her and she could see he had a slightly oval face which she couldn't totally take in because he had those shades on.

He stared at her a bit before turning back to look forward again.

'You are such a creep' she said fuming and moving away from where he sat. She sat down on her new seat and angrily crossed her hands over her chest. She liked the view of the former seat. She could see the beautiful town from where the seat was positioned.

She took a sip of the coke she was holding, her anger simmering down when the guy in dark shades turned to face her and raised his doughnut in salute to her.

He had the guts to do that she thought to herself fuming. The guy in shades smiled at her and that was when she lost it.

Walking straight forward to where he was, her back rigid, she stopped when she stood directly in front of him.

'You are such a sad cruel human, you know that right?' the guy said nothing eating his last piece of the doughnut with a slightly upturned position of his lips.

That was when she took off his shades.
