I couldn't believe what I just saw.
Harry kissed Lana.
It's like I couldn't process it.
I didn't want to believe it, but I saw it. The cameras went crazy. The shouting got louder and I had to look away. I hurried back inside and tried to calm myself down before I did something rash.
The only image that was running through my mind was Harry kissing Lana.
Mallory started talking to me in my earpiece, "What is going on at the red carpet? Everyone is in a frenzy."
I felt my throat get all tight, "I have no idea."
I distracted myself with work. I went around and made sure that everything was running smoothly. I didn't want to see Harry. I avoided being wherever I thought he might go. I stayed behind the scenes. I didn't really stay where the party was happening.
Mallory spoke to me again, "(Y/n), I need for you to go check with the performers. The first one will be going on in half an hour or so."
I groaned internally. I didn't want to run into Harry.
I made my way backstage and went into one of the performer's rooms. I made sure that she had everything she needed before I moved onto the next one.
It was for One Direction. I stood outside the closed door for a few seconds. I took a deep breath before I opened the door and went inside.
They were all there. The guys, Lou, Eleanor, Sophia, and Lana. Harry looked up at me when I walked in and he started heading toward me.
"(Y/n), I need to talk to you." He told me in a hushed tone.
"No, you don't."
He looked confused.
"I saw everything, Harry. I have nothing else to say to you. I'm working." I told him.
Harry tried to grab my hand but I took a step away from him.
"(Y/n), please." Harry whispered.
"I don't want to talk to you." I told him as I moved past him and went to the others.
"You look beautiful." Niall told me when I went up to him. I smiled a little despite the ache I had in my chest.
"Thank you, Niall. Do you guys need anything? I'm making my rounds." I said.
He shook his head, "No, we are fine. How are you? Are you okay?" He must've known that I knew about the kiss.
I didn't want to talk about it. I couldn't even look at Harry. I didn't want to make a scene. I just wished I could go home and sleep.
"I'm okay." I lied.
"No you aren't." Niall touched my arm softly.
"No, but I have to be." I told him. I said hello to the others before I left the room. The worst part of it all was that Harry didn't even try to come and follow me.
I went back to the party. I had to go check with the bartender. I didn't want my problems with Harry to cause me to lose my job. I still had work to do.
"Is everything okay? Do you have enough supplies?" I asked Bonnie, the bartender.
"Yeah, everything is fine. I will call if I need anything." She smiled. I walked away from the bar and looked down at the list I had of stuff that I had to do. I had certain areas that I had to visit every hour.
I wasn't really paying attention to where I was going. I bumped into someone and nearly fell over. I stumbled, but the person helped me regain my balance.
"I'm so sorry!" I apologized before I looked up at who I accidently bumped into. He had brown hair and matching brown eyes. He was so familiar. I just couldn't remember where I might have seen him from.
He smiled a little at me, "It's fine. It was my fault."
"You look familiar." I mumbled.
"I'm Dylan O'Brien." he held his hand out for me to shake.
I reached my hand out and shook his, "I'm (Y/n). It's nice to meet you. I'm a huge fan."
He looked a little embarrassed, "Thank you."
"I have to get going. I'm on the clock." I raised up my clipboard and laughed a little.
"It was nice to meet you, (y/n). I hope I can run into you again." Dylan winked at me before he walked away.
He was cute.
Very cute.
I had to go and find Mallory. She told me that she wanted us to check in with each other every hour. The party was a hit. I noticed everyone seemed to be having a good time.
I wished that I could be.
"Well look who it is." I heard a voice say behind me. I turned and saw Torrance.
"I'm glad you came." I told her when she pulled me into a hug. I needed my best friend right now.
"I decided to come after all. I wanted to come and stalk some celebrities." She laughed as she looked around.
"I just ran into Dylan O'Brien."
Her eyes went wide, "Shut up!"
I knew she would like that.
"I need details now!" She demanded.
"I promise I will tell you later. I have to work." I laughed before I walked away.
I started checking in with the VIP person when someone tapped me on my shoulder. I turned around and it was Harry.
"(Y/n), please talk to me."
"I told you I have nothing to say. Why don't you go back to Lana?" I started to move past him but he moved in front of me.
"You and I both know that nothing is going on between Lana and I. It was a publicity stunt." Harry tried to explain.
"You kissed her, Harry. I can't forgive that." I looked into his eyes and I could tell that he was fighting back tears.
"I didn't have a choice. It's all going to be over soon." He tried to touch my arm but I moved away.
"I can't even look at you right now." I mumbled.
"I'm so sorry." He whispered before he walked away. I watched him disappear in the crowd. Part of me wanted to go after him, but he kissed someone else. Whether it was management's choice or Lana's, he still should've said no.
"Look's like there is trouble in paradise." A voice said near me. I knew who it was before I even turned to face her. It was Lana.
"Get the hell away from me." I warned her.
"I just came to tell you I told you so." She gloated.
"What?"
"I knew that you and Harry would be breaking up soon. He is meant to be with someone who is well known. He is meant to be with me." She smirked.
"Oh is that so? You seem to be taking this fake dating thing seriously. Harry doesn't care about you." I told her. I could tell that it bugged her, but it was the truth.
"He will sooner or later. He already kissed me and he will be running back for more."
