It had been a long time since I had been in London. Even when I was out for summer breaks while I was in college, Torrance and I stayed with her family in New York.
I didn't want to come to London in fear that I would run into Harry. It was ironic at how I was now going there with him.
I was getting tired. We should be landing in London in about an hour. I slept most of the way here. Harry and I made small talk, but nothing more.
"Uh, have you told your family that you are going to be in London for a few days?" Harry asked me.
I shook my head, "I haven't told them. Last time I just surprised them." I remembered the last time I surprised my parents I was in London. It was when I had gotten into my car accident.
That brought so many painful memories.
"I was thinking that we stay in London until tomorrow afternoon and then head to Holmes Chapel. It's about a three hour drive so, we don't have to leave in the morning." Harry told me.
"That sounds okay." I said while I grabbed my phone out of my purse. I had called Torrance at work and told her everything that was going on.
She told me to be careful and to tell my brother hello. I needed to set them up sooner or later.
"Are we going to get a chance to talk later?" Harry asked me. I knew what he wanted to talk about, I just didn't know if I was ready yet.
"Yes, but I don't think it's best for us to do so at my parent's house."
"I have somewhere that I want to bring you tomorrow while we are in Holmes Chapel. I used to go there all the time as a kid." Harry said causing him to smile a little because of the memories.
I knew that he haven't been home in a while also. I was nervous to meet his family. Back then, it never seemed like the right time, but I wondered why Harry wanted me to meet them now.
"I have to admit that I am nervous to meet your family." I told him.
"You don't have to be. I already know that my mother is going to love you." Harry said.
"It just feels like we should've done this ages ago." I muttered.
I felt Harry place his hand on mine, "I know, but things got in the way." I should've moved my hand, but I didn't. It was comforting and exactly what I needed right now.
I didn't know what Harry and I was at the moment. After what happened at the Young Hollywood party, things were up in the air. I knew that our trip to London would either make or break us.
When we landed, Harry and I tried to get through the airport as quickly as we could. It was almost a matter of time until someone recognized him.
After we got our luggage, we caught a cab to my parent's house. I had forgotten how beautiful London was. It had been so long since I been there.
Harry grabbed my hand while we sat in the back of the cab. I felt an ease over my body. I looked over at him and he was watching as we drove through London.
I got excited when we pulled in front of my house. I saw that my mom's car was parked in the driveway. The car driver helped us get our luggage out and we paid him.
Harry grabbed my hand as we walked up to the front door. I rang the doorbell and about a minute later, my mom answered it.
"Oh my goodness!" She breathed out. She didn't say anything else. My mom pulled me into her arms.
I missed her hugs more than anything.
"What are you guys doing here?" She asked us as we walked into the house.
"It was kind of a spur of the moment thing." I told her. The house somewhat stayed the same. I didn't spent too much time here, but it still felt like my home.
"It's nice to see you, Harry. How have you been?" My mom gave him a hug also.
"I've been good." He smiled.
"Where is dad?" I asked her as we went into the kitchen. She was cooking something. I was hungry. I never liked airplane food.
"He is on a fishing trip with one of the neighbors. He isn't going to be back until tomorrow night." My mom told me.
"That is when we are going to Holmes Chapel."
She looked confused, "Why are you going there?"
"(Y/n) Is going to meet my family tomorrow." Harry answered.
My mom's eyes went a little wide, "Wow, it's finally time, huh?"
I couldn't help but laugh, "Mom!"
She laughed, "I'm sorry! I bet you guys are hungry. I will fix you guys a plate and then go get your rooms ready for tonight."
My mom fixed us some spaghetti and then went upstairs.
"Rooms?" Harry questioned while we ate.
"Did you really think she would let us sleep in the same room?" I laughed.
Harry rolled his eyes, "Not like we haven't before."
I smacked his arm lightly, "Shut up!"
That night, I lied in my old bed and looked up at the ceiling. I couldn't fall asleep. Maybe it was the jetlag or that Harry was directly across the hall from me.
I was glad that we had a fun night hanging out with my mom. After dinner, we sat in the living room and watched some television. I had to stop my mom multiple times from bringing out the photo albums and showing Harry my baby pictures.
It was one thirty and I knew trying to go to sleep was useless. I got out of bed and walked silently to my door. I opened it, trying to not make any noise at all. My mom's room was all the way at the end of the hall, so I had to be as quiet as possible.
I went into my brother's old room that Harry was staying in. I opened it and peeked inside. Harry was laying in bed. He looked up when he noticed the door opening.
"Everything okay?" He asked me while he sat up.
"I can't sleep." I whispered as I walked inside and closed the door behind me.
"Me neither." he laughed. I walked over to the bed and he peeled the sheets back for me to lay next to him.
I climbed into bed and he pulled me close to his body. He only had pajama bottoms on. I placed my head on his chest and he wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Do you mind if I stay in here tonight?" I asked him.
"You already made yourself comfortable." He joked.
I smiled and I started to get a little tired. I guess I just needed to be next to Harry after all.
I started to drift off to sleep as he ran his fingers through my hair. Then, I don't know if I really imagined it, but I thought I heard him tell me something.
"I love you, (Y/n)."
