I relax back into my seat. I'll be here for another three and a half hours. Luckily I have a window seat.

Over the intercom I hear what I assume to be the pilot telling us we are about to take off. I stare out the window as I feel the wheels coming off the ground. I don't know what it is, but something about planes just fascinates me. I could watch them for hours.

I plug in my ear buds and turned on music. I closed my eyes, and relaxed further into my seat. Three more hours.

I hop into my uber, and put on some headphones as we drive through the city. My hotel is about half an hour away from here.

I look out the window to the busy city. It was nine already. The city lights were beautiful, but the streets were really busy for this time of night.

I closed my eyes out of sleepiness. I didn't get any sleep on the plane. I open my eyes again when I feel the car take a quick turn. My muscles tense. I scan my surroundings. It feels as if we are going in slow motion. A car is inches away from my door.

My eyes widen and I put my arms up in defence. I feel a heavy impact, and my body being jolted to the side. I instantly blacked out.

Noah's POV (one of Alex's friends in LA... a new character)

I raced to my car as soon as I got the call

I raced to my car as soon as I got the call. I sped through part of the town, eager to get to the hospital.

What happened?
Is she okay?

I pulled into the parking ramp, and ran as fast as I could.

I asked the nurse what she knew about her. She told me Alex couldn't have any visitors.

I sat impatiently in the waiting room. I already called her parents and told them what I knew. I told them I would keep them updated. They wanted to fly out here, but I told them to wait until at least we know what is going on exactly.

"Noah Burg?" I looked up to a nurse and rushed toward her. I expected her to bring me to Alex, but she just asked me questions.

"On here it has Logan Paul written down for emergency contact...do you know him?" I thought for a second. Did they break up? Maybe...no.

"Yes, he is her boyfriend, I believe. I'm not sure if they broke up," I added so there was no miscommunication.

"Has he been contacted?"

"No, but from what I know, he probably shouldn't be," she nodded again.

"It says here her family live in Kentucky?"

"Yup,"

"Umm, do you no anything about how she's feeling? Can I visit her?" I asked.

"Alexis is accually in surgery right now," the nurse said as if I should have known this. My eyes widened.

"When can I visit her?" I talked quicker, with panic.

"Her surgery should end at 1:10am,"

"What is she having surgery on?"

"Sorry sir, but that is classified information, only for family members,"

"Okay, okay, thank you.." my mind raced with thoughts. I haven't talked to her in six months. I barely knew what she was up to.

I sat back down in the waiting room and calculated when I could see her.  Two hours and five minutes.

I called Alex's parents again and updated them, telling them to stay put, until I get to see Alex.

I decided to go grab some food, since I hadent eaten dinner yet, and it was late.

I left the hospital making sure I had time to get back. I stopped by a McDonald's because it was closest and I wanted to stay near the hospital. My mind raced, and I decided to let Logan know although it was midnight.

"Hello," Logan's uneasy voice spoke.

"Logan?" I asked.

"Wasssauuppp bruh," He sounded almost lethargic.

"Where are you?"

"I'm poppin' at the club G," I sighed. They defiantly broke up. I tapped my steering wheel. I don't know how he acts when he's drunk. He seems pretty laid back, but what if I tell him and he gets angry?

"What club?"

I lead Logan to my car, driving back to my apartment. I don't want to tell him while he's drunk. Logan was calmly slumped in the passenger seat, slowly falling asleep.

I got to my apartment, checking the time. I have half an hour. I woke Logan up gently and brought him into my apartment. He was groggy. I got him a water, setting him on my couch. I brought a blanket, three advil, and a pillow.

"Logan, you need to sleep," I told him. I don't know if he even heard me, but he did what I wanted. He was asleep in no time. I left Logan a note explaining where I was, and how he got to my apartment, and ran out the door.

Ten minutes. Just enough to get to the hospital. I hopped back into my old car, and got to the hospital as quick as I could.

I had a few minutes to wait. Now I was extremely anxious. I couldn't sit still. I ended up pacing back and forth, bitting my nail. It felt like I paced for decades. I checked the clock almost every step.

"Noah?" My head shot up to the nurse.

"We have completed Alexis's surgery, she is still asleep. We have doctor's back there watching her vitals as she wakes up. Everything went well. She should be awake in twenty minutes or so,"

"Do you know what happened, I have gotten little to no detail on all of this,"

"Yes," she looked down at the clipboard."It says here Alexis was picked up from a car crash scene. She was diagnosed with a brain and knee injury. They did surgery on her knee, but we don't know how severe her brain injury is until she wakes up, then we can run some tests," I nod.

"What happened to her knee?"

"A fragment of Alexis's knee cap was shattered," I bit my lip, scared of what condition she was in.

"Thank you," I tried to smile. She nodded. I sat down, checking the time. Twenty minutes.

I totally didn't mean to make that a cliff hanger....
So that happened.

I am thinking of making the next four chapters longer, since they are the last four, but there will be a sequel!

Thank you guys so much for reading, and thanks to @TheRealMaverick for the ideas for the end of this book!

I love y'all so much!
