"I'll see you on Monday. Goodnight." Ariana says, smiling slightly.

"Hold on, I'll walk you out," I say, smiling wider than her.

I get up and walk behind her, not taking my eyes off her. I'm trying to process what she just said to me. She gave me a heart attack at first.  I thought that she was going to walk out the door without saying anything and I would have to think of something last minute. Guess it was a little easier than that.

"So I will see you on Monday?" I ask kind of cautiously, opening the front door for her.

She laughs a little, "I said that, didn't I? I'll see you on Monday."

"Can I drive you home?"

"I want to walk. Yes, in heels. I need to clear my head a little bit."

"Are you sure? I-"

"Yes, I'm sure. Go upstairs and go to sleep and don't worry about me. I'll be okay walking home by myself."

I sigh, "Okay, I'll just see you on Monday then."

"Mhm."

"Monday."

"Yes," she smiles. "Good night, for the last time now."

"Goodnight."

She walks out the door and I sigh as it closes behind her. I watch her go down the driveway and then start going back upstairs. Once I get to the top, the doorbell rings. My mum must be home already, shit. She's never home this early.

I jog back downstairs and open the door, only to see Ariana standing there again.

"What's up?" I ask, confused.

"I forgot something," she says.

"I don't remember you bringing anything other than your bag, which is in your hand..."

"No, stupid, I forgot this."

She leans up on her tip toes to kiss me, then puts her feet flat on the floor again.

"Couldn't leave without that," she says, smiling a little.

"Not saying I mind, but you could've just gotten it on Monday."

"Hm, not the same. I also wanted to tell you something, and it can't wait until Monday."

"Okay..."

"Thank you. I know I've said it so many times this week, but I really mean it. Thank you for everything. You didn't have to help me, but you did. It means a lot to me. You're a great guy, and you're the only person who's actually attempted to stick by me through everything, even though we've only known each other for, you know, a week. It sounds stupid saying it, but I started to trust you really easily. I didn't know why at the time, but now I do. You know a lot of shit about me, more than anyone else, really, and you still stuck by me. Thank you so, so much."

I smile slightly, "You already know how I feel about it. I couldn't just sit back and let you do that to yourself, and I ended up getting closer to you than I thought I would. And by closer, I mean closer. I never thought that you would fully trust me, I never thought that you'd have such an effect on me, and well, I never thought we'd end up in bed by the end of the week. Guess things don't always turn out how you intend them to. What I'm trying to say is that neither of us really knew how it was going to turn out, so I couldn't just leave you."

She doesn't say anything, she just reaches up to kiss me again.

"Okay, okay, you should probably be going home," I say, laughing a little.
