"Wa... wh... n-o..." I struggled, finding it hard to speak, as mr 'not to be underestimated' Here was doing something. I stopped, and breathed "state your dragon name!" I say, with a newfound strength, which actually surprised me, I really didn't think thinking would work, yeah, ironic. "Impressive young Blaze. I didn't expect this from you" The figure blared, starring at me. "Yes, and I doubt you expected this from me either..." I grinned, realising something useful and, in doing so, felt his restrain on me weaken. "What, What are you doing?! How are you breaking the link?!" He screamed, making me grin wider. "You see, dragon, this 'link' you have me in, granting you access to my mind, is a two way street" I growled slightly, still grinning, watching his face slowly change into a horrified expression. "Now, that normally wouldn't be a problem, unless your target is much smarter than you" yep, that worked. I closed my eyes, or, the eyes of whatever form I'm currently in, and used my head alone. I sifted through the adjacent dragons head, while I heard him writhing and screaming in agony. "NO!! Get!!.., Out!!..."
"Ahah!" I growled, louder this time as I approached the flailing invader, and I intended to hit it hard, where it hurt the most. "So... are you planning to leave, or do I have to make you" I threatened, making him genuinely anxious due to my stiff tone of voice. I was not going to go easy on him.
"Do your worst" he spat, looking at me with a cold hard stare, as the flames obscuring most of his vanished, leaving me staring face to face with my father, crazy day huh?
"Whatever you do, it doesn't matter now. I've already done what I wanted to do... turn you into a cold blooded killer, slaughtering without a second thought" he grinned, then laughed. "Dragon magic is too powerful for such a feeble minded dragon as you. No matter what you do, part of will always be here, ready to emerge"
I felt myself sucked back out, back into reality, back in the place I prefer much more than that dark place in my mind. I looked around, before deciding it was better in my head. The black scales across my legs and my sharp, silver claws were coated in blood and oil, along with my face. I was horrified at the sight, empty trucks, charged with dragon fire, my own due to parts being completely melted. That wasn't the worst. The ground was littered with bodies, mangled and ripped apart, soaked in blood, faces coated with fear.
What... what had I done?... I couldn't believe what I was seeing, almost thinking I was dead, expelled by the figure taking my fathers form. I Clawed myself, drawing blood on my forearm, adding to the pool. This definitely wasn't a dream, it was a living Nightmare.... I... what... what is wrong with me?...
I spun around to see a Crimson dragon, sleek and beautiful with black highlights. The sight of her make me momentarily forget the massacre. She was cowering behind a bush, using her wing to shield her eyes while whimpering. I approached the female slowly, careful not to startle her. I got closer, as my tail brushed the bush, causing her to jump. She looked up at me with Lime green eyes, and a voice that pierced my heart. "Blaze!" She screamed, jumping back to keep her distance. That's when I noticed a scar above her eye, the claw marks matching my own...
