This feeling was amazing, zooming high above everything. The wind hitting my face, as Blaze flew me over towards the city. The trees that were huge not long ago seemed tiny, although that's because were pretty damn high above the ground. "This... this is..." I trail off. "Amazing? Yes, it is" Blaze said, curving through the air. "The scenery is amazing" I whispered quietly to myself, wondering if he heard. "Yes, it really is, isn't it. This is the first time I've flown for about six months, my father doesn't want me to" Blaze said, lowering his head away from my gaze. "My parents will probably flip out because I came home late" I say, wondering what excuse I should use. "Whatever you do, don't mention anything about dragons. It is not something humans should know" Blaze says, cocking his head around to look at me. "We're nearing the city. I can't take you any further, you'll have to find your own way from here"

He slowly descends into the grasslands, before lowering his wing allowing me to slide off. "Thank you, Blaze" I coo, kissing his scaly cheek. I giggle as he freezes up and starts opening his jaw, but not saying anything. "I'll visit you soon" He finally manages to say. "How?" I requested, puzzled "wont the humans see you?" He smiles, looking up at the sky. "I'll find a way" he says, before turning to me, winking and taking off. I'm launched back with the force his wings create, as he speeds off faster than a fighter jet.

I final reached home after catching a bus, and wondered what my parents would say. Wait... my school bag... crap. I hope I left it at school, because I don't recall finding it with Blaze. I knock on the door, hoping my parents would hear. Upon receiving nothing after knocking multiple more times, I used the hidden key to get in, and was horrified by the sight inside.

Things had been trashed, thrown around and broken. I frantically searched around for my parents, fearing the worst. I ran through room after room, finding nothing but more destroyed furniture and items. I finally came to my parents room, then immediately slammed it shut. There was blood on the walls. I carefully opened the door again, and found that there were holes in some of the walls and furniture, making me sure of what happened, but still not acceptant. I peered over the end of the bed, and screamed. There were my dead parents, full of holes with blood everywhere. I cried for what seemed like hours in my room, and stopped as something glowing came into my vision. It was green and seemed to be full of unimaginable power. A note was with it, next to my desk. "I've kept the truth from you for quite some time, and it seems I can't keep it secret any longer. You, are a dragon. This whole family is. I transformed you with this crystal. When the time is right you will learn to use it, but hurry, they're coming for you.-mother" huh... She was never really great subtlety. Hang on, that last line. "But hurry they're coming for you" who? Why? How? A million questions races through my head, but my train of thought was interrupted by the front door knocking down.
