I'd ran, and ran, stopping a few times to hide, but they kept chasing me. Nothing I was doing was working. I worked out my fire-breath, and managed to launch a weak fireball back at the trucks in hot pursuit. It didn't do much, hit like a small rock, the impact leaving nothing but a small black outline that disappeared relatively quickly. It wasn't long before I was at my destination, the clearing in which I met the wonderful dragon, changing my point of view on the world. Unfortunately for me, I was not expecting what happened next.

I found Blaze writhing on the ground, hissing and groaning. "Blaze!" I called, making him stop and turn to me. He slowly stood up, empty, soulless eyes staring back at me. He lunged at me, making me instinctively lash out, blasting a full strength fireball and rolling to the side. It barely phased him, leaping towards me and sliced at me with his claws. Three made contact, on my left eye, but luckily it was only on the surface and drew little blood. The trucks caught up, firing a volley at the black dragon who was obviously a greater threat than the cowering injured dragon. The bullets ricocheted of his scales, one or more piercing his thick hide, causing no response of pain or suffering. He lunged forward, firing off multiple vehicle shredding plasma balls in the process.

Blaze shredded through the trucks like they were paper, and ripped through the infantry like they were nothing. As it was reaching its brutal climax, I hid behind a group of bushes, shielding my eyes from the horrific display before me...

That was a few minutes ago

I was now face-to-face with the murderous black dragon, coated in blood, as his eyes widen when he looked me in the eyes and saw my new scars. He made a few small growls and movements, before stopping, and looking at me, sighing. "Sorry..." he spoke, in a raspy choked voice. "You don't speak draconian. Did.. did I... do this..."

"What the Hell!" I screamed, backing away, staring deep into his eyes. I thought coming here would be a good idea, I guess I was wrong. "You... you... slaughtered them... you almost killed me!" I shrieked, slashing at him as he got close, making him back away slightly. "It wasn't me... a dragon, one who took the form of my father... he's... he's gone now, I... I'm sorry. I don't understand what's going on. It wasn't me in control, whatever was in control is dead and we should be okay. but  I fear we should get to the den, try not to speak English around my father, I'll teach you draconian, then we can converse properly" he cocked his to the side, gesturing. "Wait for me over there, I'll quickly duck into the lake to clean myself." Before I could say anything he took to the sky, the force pushing me back a bit. I don't know what to think right now. One minute he attacked me, the next he's fine, like nothing happened. I'm having so many different emotions right now that I can't decide what to do. Should I listen to him, or go off on my own? Everything he just spat out was gibberish. Whatever happened was stressing him out. Should I believe him?

"Okay, this can't go well" I said to myself, as I walked over to where he gestured, waiting for him. I raised a claw to my eye, only to touch the area lightly. I winced as I grazed the surface of my face, pain flaring. I didn't cut myself, but used the blunt side of my claw, a thin coat of blood on it from what will most likely scar, unless my scales grow back over. No harm done really, just a bit of blood that, to be honest, matched my scales so it was kind of hard to notice. "Holy He!?!" A voice yelled, snapping me back to reality, followed by a loud thud and the sound of a tree falling down. Blaze emerged with a dazed look, at least he wasn't bloody anymore, except for his obvious injuries. "I'm so sorry!" He exclaimed, looking at me with wide, blue eyes. "I just realized your a dragon! This is amazing! How did this happen?"

"Long story short, I've always been a dragon" I say, making his head tilt. "Yeah, it makes zero sense doesn't it." A slow nod was all I received, before he smiled, looking satisfied. "I thought your aura seemed familiar, I didn't have many dragons to base it on, but it was definitely more powerful than a humans. Consider yourself lucky, not everyone gets to be a dragon." I chuckled, although it was kind of hard to do as a dragon. "You might want to speak a little slower, it's hard to understand a babbling Dragon. Let's go" I said, gesturing with my claw. "Lead the way."
