The day we drink to forget

After my aunt and I went shopping, I came home. I thought that shopping would make me feel better like it always did and then I realized I always used to shop with Xander, Rose, or my dad. After me and Tyler kissed, which felt good and weird at the same time. I kissed him to distract him from the picture and I felt something. I couldn't decide whether that feeling was attraction or what. Following the Kiss, I kicked him out of my room. I felt a need to be with some one right then, so I called Xander and he answered "Hey Serene are you feeling better?" 

I remembered how I had flaked out of going to the mall with them and said "Yeah."

"Good, guess what?"

"What?"

"Are you seriously not going to guess what was I expecting you never guess anyway Rose just left for the airport to go visit her parents for the entire summer."

"that sucks, did she not tell you?"

"Yeah she had mentioned that she might be, but didn't tell me until today and we broke up, wait we weren't dating."

"Don't worry Xander you don't have to lie to me." 

"How did you know? Did Tyler tell you?"

"No he didn't, but he knew? It doesn't matter."

"Ok, why did you call me that not that I don't love just hearing your voice."

"i wanted to hang out, just the two of us?"

"Oh, ok what would you want to do?" 

"Maybe we could go to the movies, I dont know if anything good is playing but it could be fun."

"sure be at your house in 15." 

"Thank you Xander" 

"Bye Serene" 

As I left my room to leave, Tyler sat on the couch playing video games. I ran down to the car waiting out front. I saw Xander and I though about why I loved him before. He was the best friend and boyfriend combo. I understood why I broke up with him, but i dont think I ever got over him. He had been the best and now we were both single. When I hopped into the front seat, I knew we had a chance. While we drove to the movie theater, my phone rang and it was Tyler. Why would he call me? I had forgotten to tell him I was leaving. I told him through text, I didnt want to talk to him, but if something really bad was happening I needed to be there. I still didn't know how I felt about him yet. We got to the theater and saw some Rom-Com Chick Flick. Which we both hated but it was ok, We sat in silence and then somehow we started making. It felt amazing and we both left the theater with huge smiles on our faces. Wen we were walking to the food palace, he asked me "so we hit it off today and we are both single, would you want to go out to dinner tonight?" 

"Sure, Its already five so maybe we should go home, so we could get ready."

"yeah sure, lets go" 

We left the mall, thank god we didnt see Jason. I ran upstairs as fast as possible. Tyler sat on the couch and he asked "Are you doing anything?"

"yeah I'm going on a date and about what happened earlier, just forget what happened. "

"What?" 

"Bye"

I left, me and Xander went out to a restaurant we went to for HOCO. It felt amazing being back with Xander, I love him. As we sat in a wooden booth, talking about something. I asked "do you think you would want to get back together?" 

He smiled and said "of course babe"

"You have no idea how long I have been waiting for this."

"Oh, no you have no idea." 

We kissed and finished dinner. Just before we were about to leave, a hand waved towards me. Then a  guy walked over to me, it took me a minute then I recognized him. Tyler! What was he doing here? He was with some girl maybe she was the waitress. He came over and asked "Oh thats where you were going when you just left earlier." 

"No hard feelings" 

"Sure have fun" 

"Bye" 

How did he know I would be here? We purposely picked this restaurant because it was far. We got in the car and drove off. We went to his house because it would be so awkward for me to go home. I said hi to his parents who had always been like second parents to me. They gave me hugs and told me that if there was ever anything I needed to call. Then they left to go to a party at one of their friends. We slipped outside to the pool. We sat in the pool house and found some bottles of rum. We played tipsy truth or dare. He asked me, who loved me most. I said him of course. It was true. I asked him the same question and he said "You know, I only ever loved you and I only got with rose to make you Jealous. That night we hooked up on the bed in the poolhouse. I don't know why I did it, but I definitely regret it."

"No its cool, I only got with Jason that night because I was jealous you were with Rose. I saw you guys kissing on the front porch. Then I was just planning on making out with Jason and he raped me that night. " 

"Well at least we can both agree that day was one to forget." 

"yeah, totally I lost virginity by being raped by the guy I thought I liked."

"Well, we could remake our first times together. No one has to know." 

"Yeah sure." 

We then did, but this time it was amazing. I always thought that I would lose my virginity to Xander and that he would do the same thing. But then i also thought we would get married and be a forever couple. Maybe this is our second chance. 

I ended up sleeping over. The next morning I threw up because I was so hungover.
