For anyone, it's hard to apologize. Even when you truly mean it. It's the human way to have a hard time admitting mistakes. Especially when you harness the power of wisdom. It's hard to be wrong.

Link gently shook Emery awake, making her rise up and stretch her arms. Her bones popped as she finally moved. It was beginning to get late, and Link figured they should get going. Whether it be to the castle, Hateno Village, or somewhere else was up to Emery. She pulled her knees into her chest and rested her chin on them, looking out on the world. He only kept his eyes on her. The sparkle in her eye was one he recognized all too well. A craving to explore the beautiful earth. He just wanted to explore what went on in her lovely head. He wanted nothing more than to get to know her more.

"We should get going." He commented.

"Where to?" She asked. He shrugged in reply. "I'm sorry I slept for so long, you could've woke me."

"I didn't want to." He said. She gave him a small smile, giving him that feeling.

"I'm sorry for what I said to Pri-" She paused. "-Zelda earlier."

"It's okay, you were right." He replied. She nodded, silently thanking him for the support. The way she looked at it, they were suppose to support each other infinitely- whether right or wrong.

"I wish you'd woke me..." She mumbled. He gave her a confused look. "I didn't get to enjoy sitting here with you."

"It's no big deal, we can do it tomorrow." He replied, standing up. He stuck his hand out and she took it. He pulled her to her feet and together they walked off towards the castle.

It wasn't a long walk, but long enough. Thankfully, no threats encountered them along the way. It wasn't a secret both of them were worried about Zelda, but she requested their absence and so that's what they gave her. Now, they didn't even know if they were welcome to stay in the castle like she'd insisted beforehand. Though, when they arrived everything seemed to be fine. The royal guard was standing at every corner, making sure everyone was safe. People greeted them as they walked down the long path, leading to the big castle doors.

"Lady Emery and Master Link! I pray you two are safe in your following travels!" An elderly woman waved at them. Both of them smiled politely and nodded back. Emery stopped as she felt a small hand tug on the end of her long sleeve. Link placed a hand on her lower back out of habit. She looked down to see a small girl, her hair as bright as the sun. She was wearing a white dress, covered in the symbols of the royal family.

"Miss Emery, do you think you could teach me how to shoot a bow one day?" She asked with big, hopeful eyes.

"Of course." Emery smiled brightly at the small girl. Link could then see her desire for kids. Was that ever even an option for them? How could they have kids and grow old together, when their duty is constantly demanding them to do life-threatening things?

"Really? Thank you, thank you Miss Emery! You're the best! I want to be just like you!" She clapped her hands excitedly. She hugged Emery's leg quickly, then dashed off in the direction of her mom. Link watched as Emery waved to them gracefully. They continued on until they got to the castle, Link's hand still on her lower back.

"How've the two of you been?" One of the knights asked. The royal guard consisted of teenagers devoting their life, and older Hylian men who's fathers did this before.

"Good." Link nodded.

"Well, good luck with the Queen. I hear she's having one of her days." He replied and let the two of them in. Link nodded once again, and it was weird to Emery to see him so silent.
