Chapter Nineteen

4:16 am a small girl no taller than a 'Yuma' (if a little taller) snuck out the back door. It was beginning to feel unbearably cold outside that night. None the less she brought her regular; Books, deck, snack, and a small coat to set off on her 'journey'. Her natural green hair mid length short to her shoulders. The girl also had emerald eyes rare but beautiful. As she walked along the sidewalk she kept her eyes on the ground until she got to where she wanted to get to.

Finally, she looks up to see trees, flat grassland areas and a large tree at the center. Smiling she goes to her favorite the second one next to the center tree. Although she had always loved the Center one the most she couldn't climb it and because one time she tried to, she almost broke her ankle.

Standing in front of her tree she smiles. The Emerald hadn't been here for some time and was glad to see her tree still there as if it were to. . . Disappear. However, that word means nothing to others to her it means memories. She soon climbs the tree and rest in a somewhat flat area where she has carved out spots, special spots, for herself. Picking up a book she reads calmly, softly.

My jacket protected me from the winds this night. What was I doing at this time of night? It was a question I asked very often as i didn't look where i had come from. Looking forward to the streets i think to myself. "i should get out more. . . It might be good for me." i thought as a small gust of cold air hits my already cold face and red nose.

Lights were up for the holidays and i smiled softly at them. While moving on i notice an opening in the roads. Looking up towards them i see an open area, a park silenced by the night. I sigh as i look off into another direction. "what to do. . ." i said to myself as i look back at the park. With a soft smile and a shrug, i move onwards. I guess the park was calling me.

With a branch breaking, the girl looks up from her book and scans the area. Although it was dark out she saw someone walking close by her. Concerned she froze with a book in hand. No one was ever at the park this late and she was worried about who it was.

Trying to think of what to do she stays. Although as she watching the person she sees them stop and look somewhere. Although she couldn't see the persons face she figured they were looking away from her. However in a few seconds a voice came.

"Hello? I see you up there," i said as i watch the silhouette flinch in the tree. Taking a knee on the ground i continue to look up towards them, "I'm not going to hurt you i promise.

"h-how do i know," they said in this tree. I laugh slightly "cause if i wanted to harm you i would've done it already."

In due time she comes down. However, as she came down i gasp. Our faces were revealed to each other. We stand still as if we didn't believe who it was.

"Faith?!"
"Tsuki!"

                 We both say at the same time.
