Chapter Twenty-One

Several days have passed and from what I've heard from Faith that Yuma has been very busy with the Barains. Back at my temporary home in Kites home I never see him anymore. I always imagined that he was busy wherever he was so I didn't bother him or question him. However, I don't know if this is what he wants from me. Is it that I'm now invisible? Maybe if I just leave they won't notice.
"Hey, Tsuki did you hear anything that I just said?" Faith asks who is walking backwards in front of me. I slow my walking to a stop as she soon stops also. Faith leans in with disapproval in her eyes. Sighing i look at her soon shaking my head, "no I wasn't listening." Faith leans away from me as she softens her gaze. "What were you doing then?"
"Thinking. . ."
People walk around us on the sidewalk as i look up at her with saddened eyes. Faith looks up at me taking my hand. "Want to talk about it?" She asks as I look at her then up towards the sky. "It's too crowded her lets go someplace else."
Kids play in the distance as Faith and myself walked into the garden of the park. The garden held tons of beautiful flowers and tons of wildlife including insects. "I've been thinking Faith. . ."
"Hmm?" she replied as I look at some of nature before speaking once again. "I'm thinking about leaving. . . I mean nobody pays attention to me anyways and i feel like a bother. In all honesty i don't know much about myself. . ." Faith tilts her head. "Tsuki, We pay attention to you-"
"No, you pay attention no one else sees me, but what does it matter? It's not like I'm worth anything for what i did back then. . ." Faith looks at me with complete sadness. My heart was hurting i had left my family and didn't know if i'd see them again, but there was more. Something inside me made me feel not welcomed and sometimes nervous.
"But something is holding you back isn't it?" She asked with a small smile as if she had an idea. I look at her suddenly my eyes slightly widened in shock. "Well you obviously. . ." I said as she looks up at me on eyebrow raised as she looks at me weirdly. "What about Kite?"
The skin on my face goes a light shade of red. "What about him?" I ask in a lower tone. She continues to look at me with a smile. "You Looove him don't ya," she said as I turned away from her quickly a little flustered. Maybe it's true. . . but he's too busy to even think about me. He doesn't love me. My heart begins to ache at the thought of him not loving me. A single tear falls from my eye. Standing tall i take a deep breath and turn around.
"Faith. . . Even if i did love him there is no way he would return the feeling. Plus I've already made up my mind I'm leaving tonight when they are asleep." I said as Faith opens her mouth to speak, but before she could I began to walk away. "Faith please don't stop me." i told her as i seemingly walked out of her world. Faith had a few tears drop from her eyes, but then quickly whipped them away with her hand.
"Tsuki, I'm not giving up that easily," she told herself silently as she started to run off into the complete opposite direction as i took. It took her several hours to reach her house. She ran all the way to her house because the busses were backed up. Running up the driveway and up the stairs she grabs the door knob and yanks it open. Walking in she shuts the door and turns around with her hands on her knees and her face red. She began to breath heavily as she gasped for air. Kari Looked up from the couch she was on and got up quickly as she saw Faith. Rushing over towards her she kneeled down to Faith. "Gosh did you run a marathon or something? Are you alright?" She asked with a slight bit of concern in her voice. Faith continues to suck up air and after a few more breaths she soon speaks. "Is. . . Yuma home. . . yet?" she asked as Kari stood back up. "Yeah he's upstairs in his room. Now are you sure you're alright?" Faith nods her head as she begins to hurry up towards Yuma's room.
Climb after climb she finally makes it to the ladder that leads to his room. Taking one deep breath she begins to climb it soon poking her head out. Yuma was laying on the floor as he was talking to his blue friend (aka Astral). Faith pulled herself onto the hardwood floor once again gasping for air as she hurried up the stairs not giving herself a break. Astral soon looks over towards the noise. "Yuma you have company," he said calmly as Yuma sits up with an annoyed sound. However once he realized who it was he gets up quickly. "Faith? What's wrong?!" He asked quickly already by her side. Faith sits up soon enough and begins to breath somewhat normally.
"Tsuki she's leaving!" Faith almost shouted out in a painful sort of way. She didn't want to lose one of her only true friends. Yuma sits up tall as Astral watches heads on, "what do you mean she's leaving? Why would she leave all her friends," Yuma asks confused.
"She's convinced no one likes her and that maybe she's just a bother. She thinks she invisible to us all!" Faith states as Yuma only looks confused. "Why would she think that? I enjoy her company personally." Astral soon speaks up, "To be fair you don't even talk to Tsuki. From what Faith is talking about it seems clear that she is feeling left out, because no one is taking time to get to know her including you." Astral says as Yuma gives him a "Zip It" face.
Yuma soon looks back at Faith, "but i thought Kite was getting to know her last time i saw him. . . Ok well talked to him he said he was going to get to know her."
"But with all the Barains showing their faces Kite has seemed rather busy lately." Astral speaks up as Faith rocks back and forwards. Yuma scratches his head as he lets realization set in. "I guess you have a point. . ."
"We can't let her leave!" Faith suddenly shouts out startling Yuma. "Ouch my ears!" Yuma snaps back. Faith soon stands up, "Yuma do something!" Yuma soon stands up as well looking back at her. "What am I supposed to do?!"
"Get Kite to stop her!" Faith yells at him. Yuma looks at her dumbfounded. "I guess i could try, but he usually doesn't reply to anything i try." Yuma said as he puts on his Duel Gazer. First. . . Second. . . Third. . . Fifteen. . . Sixteen. . . "Faith this is stupid he's not going to answer me!" Faith tightens her fists, "Try one more time!" Yuma looks at her, "Why can't you go?!" Faith looks at him with an annoyed expression. "It's Kite's house i don't know where it freaking is!" She said as Yuma gets Kites number ready one last time. "Fine I'll try one last time." With three long seconds the call goes through.
"This better be worth my time." Kite said as Faith smiles with Joy. "Great it's about time you got my call! Listen is it too much of a bother for you to stop a girl from leaving town?"

I had already packed up most of my stuff. Walking around the room I make sure i had gotten everything. Soon enough I take a piece of paper from my bag looking at it I begin to wonder how i was to do this.
As I put the paper down i hear someone outside my door. I quickly look back towards the door as the door's handle turned open. Kite stands looking in as i look back at him. "What do you want? Did someone send you to stop me?" I ask suddenly. "No, i came on my own." he said as I looked at him confused, "Yuma called me about it, but that was two hours ago. I actually came to ask you if you would come with me for a task."
