"I'll order milkshakes, and if I guess your favourite flavour, then I get a kiss."

"Shut up Richie."

Opal walked over to a corner booth and took a seat as she watched Richie order two milkshakes,

she was hoping he would get her a vanilla one because that was her favourite.

He had insisted that he paid because he was taking her out on a date,

and Opal clarified for the tenth time that this was not a date it was just two people getting milkshakes.

Begrudgingly she let him pay, he said he wanted to take care of her, and that made her swoon.

She watched from a distance as he leaned casually against the counter and made the waitress swoon.

How was that even possible.

He pulled out his wallet and paid for the two milkshakes,

one looked like vanilla and Opal was very excited.

Richie reached the booth and slid in,

"one chocolate for me, and one vanilla for you. It's your favourite isn't it?"

"I swear you're taking the stalking too far,"

she sassed in response, not wanting to admit that he won the bet.

"You owe me that kiss sometime."

He winked taking a sip of his milkshake watching her intently as she wrapped her plump pink lips around the straw and looked into his eyes.

He had to make an effort to stop all the vulgar thoughts rushing through his mind.

"So Opal, I've invited you here to get to know you, so why don't you tell me something interesting about yourself."

She blushed a little, he was so confident it was a little undermining.

"I like to read?"

She said it as if it was more of a question that a statement.

"What do you like to read?"
He encouraged.

"I like classics, I guess Brontë & Austen mainly."

"Charlotte, Emily or Anne?"
He enquired about which one of the Brontë siblings was her favourite,
