I haven't seen Wolfie for a week.

At first, I didn't really care. 'He'll come tomorrow', I thought.

I walked to my window every night, lighting a candle as my mom asked me to, and I looked out, expecting to see him sitting there, but he never was.

I imagined it so many times, me suddenly seeing him and climbing out the window, running to him.

Am I going insane? I mean, I only met him a few times, is it possible that I miss him? Could I miss a wolf?

I felt myself getting more and more miserable throughout the week. My parents seemed to notice that too, and they attempted to cheer me up a couple of times, but they failed. They had this sad look in their eyes every time they saw my depressed face, but eventually, they decided to let it go, and wait till I get better by myself.

I found myself spending most of my time in the garden, looking at the forest, or looking out my window.

Did I actually think he would come to come back? He was a wolf, I'm sure he had better things to do instead of hanging out with humans.

As I woke up, I was ready to spend the day just like the days before, but I was surprised to see Drake sitting on my bed, looking at me with a huge grin.

I furrowed my eyebrows at him, but it didn't ruin his mood at all.

"Hello, Rhea," he smiled.

"Hi," I mumbled, still not understanding what was going on.

"You look so cute," he laughed. "Do you not know what day is it?"

I started thinking, but I had no idea what he was referring to.

"Are you serious?! Rhea, it's your birthday! And the full moon! How could you forget?" He asked with a shocked expression.

"Oh..."

"Yeah, oh. Look, you've been acting like a ghost this past week, I hoped you would get better on your own, but it looks like I have to come to your rescue, so here I am. You will not spend your 18th birthday in your bed, or watching videos on the couch! Plus, it's a full moon too, and we have plans, which I don't intend to cancel, so get your ass out of this bed, get ready, and let's go!" He stood up, pulling the covers off of me.

I looked at him with wide eyes, but I realised he was right. We did have the day all planned out, and I couldn't ruin that, so I stood up, and started walking towards the bathroom to get ready.

"That's my girl!" Drake shouted after me. I just smiled, shaking my head at him.

After I got fully ready, I walked back to my room, seeing him sitting on the bed, playing with something on his phone.

He looked up at me, then he nodded with a smile.

"See, it wasn't that hard," he said, standing up. "So, since I successfully got you out of bed, I'm gonna go and get some stuff done. While I do that, I want you to spend some time with your parents, they have been really worried about you this past week. I will come back at 5 p.m., then we will get everything ready for tonight, okay?"

"Okay," I nodded, smiling a little.

He came up to me and gave me a big hug, which I returned.

"I really don't like seeing you sad, so please try to cheer up a little. Today is about you, you should have fun, but don't worry, I will be here to make you feel better," he said, then he leaned back a little to look into my eyes.

"You can always count on me, you know that, right?"

I smiled up at him, nodding, my eyes tearing up a little.
