I woke up to a very uncomfortable feeling.
I tried to get up, but something pulled me back down. I realized that Ares had his arms around me, holding me like there was no tomorrow.
I attempted to get away for a second time, but he still didn't seem like he wanted to do it anytime soon, which was a problem for me.
"Where do you think you're going?" He whispered with his eyes still closed.
"To the bathroom," I answered casually.
He mumbled something under his breath, but I couldn't understand him.
"Seriously Ares, if you don't let me go, I'm going to pee myself."
He opened his eyes, looking at me with raised eyebrows, but after seeing my expression he realized it was better if he did what I asked.
"Thank you," I stood up, hurrying towards the bathroom.
After I did what had to be done, I opened the door, looking at Ares who was still in bed.
"Do you have any extra toothbrushes?"
"Under the sink," he replied, then he closed his eyes again.
I rolled my eyes, walking back to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth, then I decided to let my hair down. It had a few curls from the bun, but after I ran my fingers through it, it looked acceptable. I washed my face, then I made my way back to the bedroom.
He was still there, laying on the bed. I climbed on the bed, kneeling down next to him.
"If you are waiting for me to get up, then get comfortable, because it's not gonna happen anytime soon," he mumbled.
I stayed in the same position for a few more seconds, then he suddenly grabbed me and pulled me on top of him. I put my palms on his chest, looking down into his eyes while drawing patterns with my fingers.
"Do you know what I was thinking?" He asked with a little smile.
"Yeah," I replied without hesitation.
He looked at me with his eyebrows raised, surprised I actually answered his rhetorical question.
"You were thinking about making breakfast, and you wanted to ask me what I wanted. To answer that, I would like some pancakes, but I would literally eat anything right now."
He started laughing, shaking his head.
"Wow," he looked back into my eyes. "I didn't know about your mind-reading abilities."
"Well, no one else does, so if I were you, I wouldn't tell anyone," I smiled.
"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me," he smirked.
We were staring at each other for a while in silence.
"Okay, what were you actually thinking?"
"Besides making breakfast, I was thinking that maybe you could meet a few members of my pack today," he looked at me, watching my reaction.
"Oh... for example?"
"For starters, you could meet my Beta and his family. I think you will like them, they are really cool and all," he shrugged. "They know that you're new to our world and that you're still getting used to everything, so you don't have to feel uncomfortable around them at all. Also, I've known them ever since I was born, our families are good friends, so you can trust them."
"Sure," I said.
"Great," he smiled, jumping out of bed. "I'll go and make some breakfast for us until then you can get ready."
