I woke up in the woods.

I guess I haven't been asleep for long, because the first thing I noticed was the moon, still shining on the night sky, giving the forest a little light. It wasn't much, but I could see my surroundings. I sat up, supporting myself with a tree that was behind me.

"You're awake," I heard a deep voice, which scared the hell out of me.

I turned my head in the direction where I heard the voice from, and my mouth fell open a little.

There was a guy standing there. He was definitely older than me, he had a tall and muscular body, which made me even more scared. I looked up at his face, and I was in awe. He had a perfect jawline, black hair and I'm pretty sure his eyes were a darker shade of brown, but he was standing too far away, so I wasn't sure.

I finally realized that the situation I was in wasn't normal at all, so I wanted to jump up and run away, which I actually attempted to do.

I stood up as quickly as I could, I ran like two metres, then I tripped in my own feet and landed on my knees. I put my palms out too, trying to support myself, but I was hurting too much, so I rolled to my side.

The guy ran to me, then he kneeled down and started examining my knees.

"Get away from me," I mumbled.

"Your knees are bleeding," he said, totally ignoring what I just said.

"Yeah, thanks for stating the obvious," I rolled my eyes.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of you," he put his arms under my body, picking me up bridal style.

"Oh, hell no! Put me down! I don't even know you!" I shouted in his face, trying to move around, but it hurt so much that I stopped myself.

He gave me this knowing look, then started walking through the forest.

"You know this counts as kidnapping, right? I suggest you let go of me, and I might consider not reporting this to the police," I offered, but he just chuckled at me, not caring about a single word I said.

We arrived at a huge house, and he walked straight inside.

"Okay, I really hope this is your house and you're not just breaking in."

"Calm down, it's mine."

"So I'll only have to report the kidnapping part, then," I nodded, and he rolled his eyes at me.

He brought me to a bathroom, which was really modern and beautiful actually. He sat me down on a counter and took a first aid kit out of a cupboard.

He started cleaning my knees, and while he did that I decided it was a perfect time to study his features.

Not gonna lie, he was extremely handsome. He looked really good, but there was also something familiar about him, which was weird because I would for sure remember someone this attractive.

"Like what you see?" He asked suddenly, looking into my eyes, a smirk appearing on his face.

"Who are you?" I asked, dodging his question.

"Seriously?" He raised his eyebrows as if he was hurt by my question.

"What do you mean?" I furrowed my eyebrows. "Have we met before?"

He was staring straight into my eyes, and that was when I really noticed their colour. They were a gorgeous brown, but... I'm pretty sure I saw some gold sparkles in them. But that's not possible, is it?

My eyes widened a little, but I still shook my head.

"I have no idea who you are."

"Come on, you know exactly who I am," he said, putting his hands next to my sides, leaning closer. "I can see it in your eyes," he whispered.
