Chapter 23 : After Effect !

Nathan and Amelia walked over to their friends sitting on the couch in the center hall

"Where cameron went ?" Amelia asked , noticing she wasnt there .. a little relieved that she didn't had to see much of her pushing around brian , but she wasn't feeling angry anymore , the recent encounter with Charlotte and Nathan had swung her mood around ..

"Getting something from her locker I guess " Shauna replied .. sipping her coffee , she sensed an unusually calm tone in Amelia's voice..

"Okay " Amelia said sitting down across from them , talking about the Dance and their clubs , she took a bite of the muffin Shauna was eating ..

Nathan sat across from her , on a chair , he couldnt help but think about that Magnetic Kiss , That kiss was more than just a fling , he had never experienced something so strong before , he looked at her , tracing her every move .. , he didn't wanted to , but he couldn't help himself ..

It wasnt after too long that she noticed his gaze .. and she didn't wanted anybody eles to notice it , she tried to ignore his gaze , waiting for him to stop but he didn't break ..

She rolled her eyes and sighed .. "I'm gonna get something to eat , you guys need anything " she asked looking at Shauna, Keith and Brian

"No , we're covered " Brian said pointing to the food and drinks on the table .. Shauna and Keith nodded with a grin on their face

Amelia Chuckled "okay , Nate do you wanna come with me? " she said turning to Nathan with a Pretty smile ..

To her action , everybody including Nathan stare at her with amusement ..

"What ?" Nathan said making sure he heard right , that it wasn't going on in her mind

"Come with me to the counter " She said again , not loosing her smile .

"Okay " Nathan said Not sure of what exactly was going on with her .. he stood up and walked behind her while the Three People on the Table Watched with their eyes wide open

"Did we just witness a rare Garret-Mathews moment ? " Brian asked , his eyes fixed at the two walking away

"No Brian , I think it was a genuine Nate-Amelia moment " Shauna smiled raising her eyebrow .. she knew something was up instantly , she had her suspicious smile on

"Well , look close you guys , we dont get many " Keith laughed , chewing his fries ..

Amelia reached at the counter and Nathan followed her she turned to him , with her stern look

"What did I do ?" He asked raising his hands in defence , she couldnt help but let out a little laugh

"Quiet looking at me Garret " she said turning to the counter ..

"I wasn't not looking " he defended himself , looking down because he knew that he was definitely looking ..

She turned to him again , smiling "with the way you were staring at me , you'd attract the Gossip column of the school " She laughed knowing that he didn't wanted to expect the fact that he was staring and she didn't blame the guy , she's the one who ambushed him with the kiss.  Anyone would Startle after that ..

He scratched the back.of his head smiling like a goof , he knew he didn't had a pretty good defense against her ..

She grabbed her Sandwich and turned to walk over to her friends , when Nathan felt the need to talk to her , but he couldn't really think about how to start .. but as he saw her about to walk away he took a leap

"Hey , Methews Wait " He said , she stopped when he called out to her ,but didnt turn , he walked infront of her ..

"Thankyou , for what you did" He said with genuine gratitude in his tone
