Before Munch's Party

It had been a few months since I actually saw Elliot. I texted him and called but we didn't meet in person. Me and Brian broke up, it was mutual, but I knew it wouldn't last. Thought Liv as she got ready. Munch had invited everyone to a fancy party place for his retirement party. This time it was just people he was close to. Liv called Elliot , "Okay so what the heck am I supposed to wear? Like fancy or casual, or fancy casual?!" "Whoaaaa! It really doesn't matter just throw on a dress and some heals, nothing too fancy. Besides, you look good in anything Liv so it really doesn't matter, heck, you could show up in jeans and still look good." He said smiling imagining her face. "Ugh. Ok ok." "See you in 20?" "Yeah that's good." She said smiling.

Liv walked out her apartment building wearing a navy blue dress that showed off her curves and some heals that matched. Elliot stared at what was in front of him but was snapped back to reality when he realized that they were matching. He had put on a navy blue suit instead of his black one. "Hey." She smiled as she got in the passengers side. "Hey. Told you you'd look good." He replied smirking and shaking his head. "Oh wow I didn't know we'd be matching! Oh, did you want me to run back up and change?" "No no you're good. I mean unless it'll make Brian mad or it'd be weird." He said without making eye contact. "No um, me and Brian broke up a couple months ago actually." She said with a forced smile. "Oh, I'm sorry" "Pssht! I already knew it wouldn't last plus it was mutual so it's fine." "Oh okay." He said shrugging. "And El," she said as he looked at her "it's not weird at all." His face brightened up and he started to drive.
