TIME HAD GONE BY SWIFTLY FOR THE AVENGERS as they went on with their day after Fury left the tower. The group did their own things throughout the day, wishing for time to go by quickly as they were all anxious to meet the new person that could become apart of their family of superheroes.

Whoever it is, Steve thought, better be able to put up with Tony's cheeky replies because if there is one thing Tony could do better than IT stuff, it's pushing and scaring people away.

"It's five o'clock." Stated Sam from his place on the couch, in between his two mates. The group of superheroes all sat in the living room of the tower, anxiously waiting for their newest member to arrive.

They all hoped whoever it was, was kind and got along with everyone else - at least that's what the two Maximoff siblings wanted. The others just wanted her to do her job and not cause a ruckus.

"Where is this new recruit of ours?" Thor asked as he wrapped an arm around Wanda's waist, the blonde currently sitting on his lap as she rested her head against his shoulder.

"And where's Bruce and Tony?" Clint added as he searched the room for his two friends, the former being awkward as hell and the latter being annoying as hell. Steve sighed, running a hand through his blonde hair.

"I told them to come early." He mumbled as he shook his head in disappointment. Loki wrapped a comforting arm around him, his thumb rubbing over the surface of Steve's hand. The blonde superhero sent his mate a grateful look. Steve couldn't have asked for a better mate.

The group continued to sit in silence, each leaning into their mate or mates. Pietro's leg bounced up and down, anxious to meet this new recruit. He hoped that she was chill and relaxed with people being gay and not homophobic since most of the mates were gay.

There were Loki and Steve, Tony and Bruce and finally, there were himself and Bucky. Sam, Clint and Natasha were in a polyamorous relationship, and they were okay with that. They didn't care if it was uncommon; it meant that they received more love and gave more love than others.

Wanda and Thor were the only 'normal' couple for one of them were a male, and the other was a female which is classified as usual in the country of Americans. However, people still did have the rights to be gay, and nobody stopped them especially since they were the Avengers.

"Did you guys hear that?" Bucky spoke up, his back straightening as his slightly enhanced senses picked up noise from the other room. "It's in the kitchen." Quickly getting up, everyone sneaked over to the kitchen, careful not to make any noise so they could quickly capture the intruder if needed.

Reaching the kitchen, Wanda peaked her head through the door, thankful she was one of the smallest ones there. She continued to walk into the room with Thor behind her, protective over his mate, even if she could defeat anyone she wanted if she concentrated hard enough.

Using her magic, she quickly pushed the intruder's hands behind her back, an object slamming onto the floor as a feminine yelp echoed throughout the vast marble kitchen in the Avengers tower.

"Who are you?!" Natasha exclaimed as she barges into the kitchen, only to see a girl in her pyjamas with a smashed plate of pop tart in front of her, a sad look on her flawless looking face.

"My pop tart." The girl whined as she stared down at the heavenly piece of food that had broken into pieces and littered the floor.

"Who are you?" The redhead repeated, calmer than the time before as she quickly realised that the new female in the room was not a threat to her, her mates or any of her friends that she, secretly, thought of as the family she never had. The blonde lifted her head, a grin spreading on her face, one that had the whole room relaxing as they knew she was not a threat.

"I'm your new roomie." She told them as she motions to her bags on the floor. "Alexis Brown, at your service."
