The Nerd with the Dangerous Secret

Even though I tried to hide my wrists that night, that were still cut and bleeding, all though the bleeding had subsided a lot, Mason still caught me in the hallway at the bottom of thestairs he asked me why I was wearing a big fluffy jumper that I found in the trunk of my car (I had brought my own car into school yesterday seen as Mason's needed to have repairs do to it and we wouldn't get in back until today) when it was warm today, I kept on tugging the sleeves down concious of the cuts and eventually Mason noticed and pulled my sleeves up and was livid because he thought I was cutting again but when he found out the truth he was even more than livid, he was ready to tear Fray's head clean off of his shoulder

Sleep didn't seem to help his mood either he seemed to be in a rather foul mood this morning too and when I tried to question him on the topic even though I had a pretty good idea with why he was in a mood he didn't answer me and just continued to eat his bacon after a half hunted grunt in reply

Now as we sit in the car he still hasn't said anything towards me or my mom like he would usually do, he just put on a chirper voice towards Gracelyn before slipping back into his mood so I try and give it one more chance for him to talk to me before we get to school and have to go our separate ways, I lean over the gear box and whisper to him "Please talk to me" 

He didn't say anything for a few minutes as he continued to drive but I could see in the mirror that was slightly tilted his way, his face was stern and had a mixture of sadness and anger on it, Mason turned the wheel to the left pulling into the parking lot before he yanks his seatbelt off and storms out of the car and into the building before I can call out to him again 

I sigh knowing full well that he probably would not talk to me now for the rest of the day and that was if I was lucky I carefully climb out of the car after undoing my seatbelt and walk over to the drivers side seen as Mason in his temper had just left the car in the middle of the parking lot and not even bothered parking the car in one of the bays

Circling around the parking lot I try to find an empty space because in the last few minutes the parking lot has got unusually busy and cars lined the bays but when I don't find one I let out another sigh this one in anger and I go to park in on the road

Overhead I hear the bell chime it's off key tune and let curse words pass through my lips at the fact that Mason has once again made me late, I finish parking the car and get out collecting the things I need from the trunk of the car

By the time I have got into school I note that mostly the corridors are empty apart from the few that littered the hallway waiting until the very last minute or when a teacher scolds them and ushers them off to class, I quickly make it to my locker and collect my books

"You don't seem in a happy mood this morning" A voice jokes before chuckling  making me slam my locker shut and face the person

"No I'm not, thanks to you, Mason wont even talk to me" I tell Fray in a grumble making him shake his head and laugh even more

But he suddenly stopped laughing and looked at me, his face stern and his eyes holding sincerity "Do you want me to talk to him and tell him to stop being a motherfucker and start talking to you?" He asks me making shock consume my body he had just offered to do something relatively nice for me and I know he said that he would stop stalking me or whatever but I didn't think he would do something nice for me or try to be my friend

I shake my head fearing that if he did that it would just make it worse and Jordon would probably end up in the hospital for trying to make things better as Mason would more than likely just rip his head off

"Are you sure?" He asks me raising his eyebrows slightly in question "I know you two used to be so close but then it suddenly ended middle of Sophomore year and nobody knew why but from what I've both seen and heard you two seem to be on much better terms and I hate to see your attempts at a new slate ruined because of something stupid that I did" He concludes 

Nodding my head I'm about to ask how he knew so much but before I can I'm interrupted by the late bell sounding and Jordon walks away leaving me to collect the rest of me books and head off to my first lesson considering I wouldn't be able to make it to form 

This was one of the rare classes that Mason and I actually share and while we were waiting for Mr. Scott to arrive he walked over to me and spoke too me sooner than I would have expected "Hey, where were you this morning I had to cover for you?"

I decide to tell him the truth with a slight roll of my eyes "Well, since you were in a strop this morning and decided it would be a good idea to just abandon the car in the middle of the parking lot I had to shift it making me late to form and then when I reached my locker I had a little run in with Fray but don't worry he was civil" I tell him leaving off the part about Fray wanting to not so kindly bash some sense into him

Mason visibly tenses when I mention the part about Jordon but before he could yell at me, Mr. Scott came and told us to go inside in silence
