I put on my white hat along with jean shorts and a black crop top that says 'The Palms'. I have recently been listening to them. I have my red bikini on underneath. I let my hair tumble down my shoulders and apply waterproof eyeliner and put on lip gloss.
Marcus walks into my room, still not dressed, with a tired look. "Morning," I smile. His eyes widen when he sees my appearance.
"Whoa, Piper, you're looking good." He grins and comes up behind me. He puts his hands on my waist and breathes my scent in. "Smell good too." He puts his nose in the crook of my neck as I laugh.
"I'm going to have to kick you out, the boys are going to be here in a few." I say to him. He groans and grabs his clothes and puts them on with dramatic ness. I laugh at him and throw a pillow at his head.
He falls back against my bed now clothed. The door bell goes off and I smile. "They're here. Time for you to go, Marc." I say ushering him out of my room. He quickly turns around.
"Did you just give me a nickname?" He asks with a smirk. I blush and shake my head.
"Marcus! Go!" I push him, but he doesn't move.
"Call me Marc."
"Okay, Marc, I have to go." The door bell goes off just to prove my point. He smiles at me and opens the door. I shove my phone in my back pocket.
"Marcus."
"Riley."
I push Marcus gently out the door and close it behind me and lock it. "Hey, Piper." Riley grins at me.
"Bye, Piper." Marcus hugs me. "See you later." And then he goes to his car driving away. Riley turns back to me with an unamused expression.
"Are you dating him?" He asks.
"No. He's just really affectionate." I blush remembering him kissing my last night.
"He's also a jerk." Riley mutters.
"Why don't you like him?" I ask. Riley's two different colored eyes stare at me long and hard.
"He did something bad to me. You don't want to know and I don't want to talk about it." He says firmly. He turns away from me and starts down the stairs. I grab his elbow and he turns around slamming me into the railing. "Don't touch me!" He screams. I jump away from him and quickly run into my house locking the door behind me.
I slide my back against the door and tears start to fall out of my eyes. My dad was a big business man and ever since the other businesses started getting into my dads family life, well, I might as well be scared of everything.
When I first moved here I was scared and got very little sleep thinking that they would come and get me. They killed my dad and I have something they want.
If they got me they would kill me and my mom isn't really in the right state of mind. They hurt her bad, so bad that she can't function in society.
They never did find my dads body or any trace of him being dead, but they pronounced him dead anyway. I don't think it works like that, but I'm just a seventeen year old girl, what do I know? Pretty much what they told me.
These men from other company's made scared to ever walk the streets by myself. I don't like scary movies because it makes me think of the bad things they could do to me.
I'm not aloud to tell anyone about this of course, the rules of witness protection. They barely let me play soccer, but the only reason I keep going on is soccer and I finally persuaded them to let me play. They said as long as I can make the team then I'm in. I couldn't have my picture on any social media and no one is to know my real name. Piper Ripley is not my new name, but it sure is a cool one. My real name was Alexandra Vega.
