“Li, is the pretty girl you told me about here yet?”
Harry’s voice made the both of them freeze in anxiousness; both scared of how Harry will act.
“Uh, yeah mate. In here” Liam called back reluctantly. In a matter of seconds Harry had made his way into the room.
Emily looked at the tall boy, brown curly hair coming out from under his navy blue beanie, dimples able to be seen as he gives her a wide smile, looking her up and down with his emerald green eyes.
“Damn, you said she was pretty, but you never said hot.” Harry said, his smile growing while Emily blushed.
“Harry,” Liam warned and Harry held his hand in mock surrender.
“Sorry, my bad, so what’s your name?” he asked Emily, turning back to her with the same smile as before.
“Emily,” she answers in a small voice, her confidence lacking when it came to talking to anyone of the opposite gender (but surprisingly not Liam, Liam was easy to talk to).
“Beautiful name for a beautiful girl,” Harry replied, only to be returned rosy cheeks, only making him smirk. Liam rolled his eyes and let out a frustrated sigh, smacking Harry on the arm.
“Aren’t you supposed to be in class?” Liam asks his roommate frustratingly, raising his eyebrows in question. Harry shrugged his shoulders.
“I wanted to see our new roommate and see if she was pretty like you said, you never said she was hot.” Emily starting blushing, unsure whether it was because Liam had called her pretty, or because Harry had called her hot.
“Harry,” Liam warned once again.
“Well, I guess I have to go, Li here wants you all to himself,” Harry says, checking her out for the last time. “I’ll see you later, Em.” He said winking at her before exiting the room.
“He doesn’t know what he is talking about.” Liam muttered, looking down at the floor to hide his blush from her. Emily nodded her head, also trying to hide the redness in her cheeks.
“Thank you for letting me stay here.” This would have to be at least the third time she has thanked Liam and he once again replied with the same beautiful smile.
“No problem, seriously, it’s my pleasure.”
Emily nods her head, as Liam places the small suitcase on her bed before leaving her to her own thoughts.
Liam quickly made his way into the kitchen, knowing that would be exactly where Harry was. Sure enough, he was sitting at the bench, a bowl of cereal in his hand.
“Harry, could you please not look at her like she is a piece of meat?” Liam asks once Harry had noticed him. Harry only rolled his eyes at his roommate, only making Liam more frustrated.
“You need to relax, Liam. All I did was compliment her and check her out. Sorry for thinking that she is really hot.”
“Harry, you don’t understand, she doesn't have it easy." Harry looked to the older one in confusion, waiting for him to continue.
"She tried to kill herself." Liam mumbled, but Harry still understood and his eyes widen in shock.
“Are you serious, Li? H-How?” he asked, bringing back a face he wanted to forget.
“She tried to drown herself at the beach,”
“Does she c-cut?” Harry gulped, trying to keep the memories out of his head, but it was impossible.
Liam nodded his head sadly, knowing that Harry was holding back tears without even looking up at him. This brang back too many memories for Harry, and he didn't want them.
