You sighed softly, running a hand down your face tiredly. You at just gotten off your shift at Pops and had closed the door, very exhausted after the long day. You looked down at your dirty Pops uniform and immediately head up to your room to change.
You quickly changed into something more comfortable and tucked your hair up into a bun. Before you get any time to rest, you hear the door bell ring. You groaned and head down stairs to answer the door, remembering that both of your parents weren't home from work yet.
"Coming." You called tiredly as you opened the door, catching it with your right hand. You frowned and raised your eyebrow at the guy standing in your doorway.
He had greasy hair that fell just above his eyes when he moved his head and dark chocolate brown eyes. You quickly noticed the very prominent Serpents tattoo on his neck, your E/C eyes immediately drawn to it. The guy had a grim expression on his face, his arms folded over each other and his leather jacket pulling at his biceps. You bit your lip and glanced down before looking back up at him.
"Uh.." You frowned as his eyes turned towards you, a lazy smirk plastered on his face. "Can I help you?" You asked, trying not to sound annoyed. You were an obvious Northsider after all and you didn't want him to get pissed at you before he even spoke.
"I'm looking for Y/F/N L/N, and I'm guessing that's you." He raised his brow and straighten his posture, his smirk still playing at his lips. You suddenly noticed how tall he was compared to you and took a small step back. Something clicked in your head and you rolled your eyes slightly.
"You're the Serpent with the weird name." You sighed slightly and crossed your arms over your chest. You had heard your best friend, Jughead Jones, talk about the very tall Serpent sometimes; and most of the time it was just complaining about him. You had seen the boy a couple of times, but had never really talked to him. "Granted, you all have weird names."
He raised his eyebrows and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Ah, Gum Drop?" You asked sheepishly. "Umm, Candy Cane? No, no, no." You muttered.
"Sweet Pea?" He tried with a smirk.
"Sweet Pea!" You exclaimed, acting like you knew it the whole time. You laughed softly and glanced down at your shoes. "May I ask what you're doing here?" You asked, shifting on your feet slightly.
"Jughead." Sweet Pea shrugged, walking past you and into your house. "He asked m to come over here and stay with you for a little." He said, glancing around your house.
You frowned, confused by his statement. "What the hell is that supposed to mean? Why does he want a complete stranger to 'stay with me'?" You asked, turning around to watch him after you closed the door. "I don't even know you." You muttered. "You should probably leave. You could be a maniac killer for all I know."
Sweet Pea shrugged, glancing back at you as he pulled out the chair from the dining room table. "He just said to stay with you until your parents get home. He doesn't want you...'being adventurous'...as he put it." He shrugged again and sat down, kicking his feet up on the table. "Pretty sure I would've already killed you." He smirked over at you and tilted his head slightly. "You want proof Jughead told me to come here?"
You drew your brows together and tilted your head slightly. "He's still hung up on that?" You asked in a frustrated tone. Jughead had caught you one night after out of the house to meet up with a guy at Pops. He spotted you at Pops as he was with Betty, watching you the entire time to make sure you were safe. Jughead had always been like a brother to you and he was extremely protective, often times too protective. Everything would've been fine if the guy you had meet up with didn't leave you to walk home by yourself. Jughead got pissed. "And yes. I do want proof so I feel safer in my own home." You replied, returning his smirk slightly.
"Apparently." Sweet Pea replied. "He said he couldn't make it tonight to stay with you so he sent me instead." He smirked slightly, studying his fingernails before glancing over at you. "If it's proof you want then it's proof you get." He hummed, pulling his phone out and showing you message's from Jughead"s number.
You rolled your eyes and sat down next to him, grabbing his feet and pushing them off the table. You studied his phone for a second before handing it back to him. "What happened happened over a month ago. He hasn't let me out of the house since." You joked but part of you was serious. "He's so damn annoying." You complained, glancing over at Sweet Pea and raising your brow at him. "You can leave, ya know. You don't have to listen to Jones."
"Hey, Jughead's orders." He smirked and threw up his hands. "So why don't you just calm down?" He asked, looking at you and raising his brows mockingly.
"I don't even know you." You repeated, glancing at the door.
"Then get to know me." He replied, standing up and walking to the kitchen. "We've got time." Sweet Pea opened the fridge, bending down to search through it. "Got any booze?" He asked, turning around and smirking at you.
You sighed, dragging a hand down your face and leaning your elbows on the table. "This is going to be a long night." You muttered softly, turning to look at him in the kitchen.
