Chapter 15:

Cassidy's POV:

Six days...

It's been six days since I was placed in the hospital from my attempt of taking my life away and I'm glad to say that I feel very happy that I was given another chance. It's almost  been a week which makes it crazy just how fast time can fly by and it's such an amazing feeling. I know it may seem strange that I have these types of emotions, but in the last couple of days I have felt rejuvenated. I guess I am having this sensation, because I had practically reunited with my childhood best friend.

It felt nice listening to all the stories he had told me, like his family moved to a different state because of the job opportunities his dad received. He could talk all day long about all of our childhood memories. I really wish he hadn't moved away... He could've helped me through all the rough times and my suffering wouldn't have been this bad, but that's how life works right?

Jason is still his caring, sweet self. He hasn't left my side since the day I was admitted into the hospital. The only times he leaves is when the nurse, Dana, comes in to do my daily check up. While she does my check up, he goes to the restroom and to the cafeteria. It's so hilarious to hear him complain about the food here in the hospital, since he claims to be so lazy to go and get actual food.

Hopefully I wake up from this freaking coma, I'm ready to leave this place. I hate hospitals. Although my eyes have been feeling a lot lighter than those bricks I had a couple days ago. According to the doctor my vitals are improving very well, so surely this coma will not last a week and a half.

Jason was in the middle of telling me a memory from the time when we were in a candy shop fighting over the last 3 Musketeer candy bar, when all of the sudden the door is slammed open.

"Where is she?" The voiced asked as it was huffing and puffing for air.

"Who the hell are you?" I can hear the anger in Jason's tone.

"I should be asking you that same question." The mysterious guy remarked.

"Well it's clear that I asked you first, so why don't you be a lad and answer the question." Annoyance is crystal clear when Jason speaks.

"I'm Eric, I met Cassidy a while back ago. I took her in for the time being, but then she left without even saying anything..." He replied with the emphasis of sadness could be identified.

"So, who are you?" He cleared his throat.

"I'm Jason, C and I used to be best friends when we were kids. That was until I had moved away, because of my dad's job." Jason answered bluntly.

"C?" Eric asked in confusion.

"Yeah, that's what I call Cassidy. When we were kids I always thought her name was complicated to always say, so I started calling her C ever since." He stated.

"How did she get here?" Eric asked with a concern tone.

"I found her..." Jason's voice was barely audible, but understandable.

The tension was thick, and I knew it was awkward from the moment of silence that had come upon them. You can literally hear the electricity running through the light bulbs. Next thing I know a chair is being dragged on the floor to my right side of the bed, to which I'm assuming is Eric.

If I'm being completely honest I don't think I want him here... I mean I was perfectly fine with having just Jason around, but now him being in the same room sitting right next to me. I just don't know how to feel or how I should react.

I mean he simply got mad at me for no absolute reason and I did nothing wrong. The times he saw me get bullied, you want to know what he did? Nothing. He would see me fall apart again after he had saved my life once from a horrible beating.
