A cool, breezy, spring night was just what Felix Peak needed as he trotted up the side of Moonlit Peak. It was a hill located to the most north-western point of the valley and throughout the woodland, there were several peaks like Moonlit Peak. It served as a high point where wolves of several ally packs would congregate, or it was used as a primitive method of sending messages. Since there were feral packs, communication between each pack were usually carried out in such a manner.

But, while Felix could order a scout to send the message to the specific pack or person in this situation, or he could do it himself, he lacked one vital piece of information.

Where was this person?

Trotting behind him was his third in command, Nate Lashley and walking between them, as the smallest and youngest of the three, who, had demanded accompanying them, was Noah Peak, the youngest member of the Peak alpha family. Felix walked up onto the flat land at the top turning around then and bringing his muzzle down to the scruff of Noah's neck as the smaller wolf struggled with his short legs up onto the platform. With a nudge from the large deep brown wolf behind him, and a gentle tug on the scruff of his neck from the black werewolf in front of him, Noah was lifted into the air and placed on the spot near his brother and future alpha. Grinning, Noah trotted after Felix joining him on the second perch.

Atop Moonlit Peak, getting its name from the simple fact that the moonlight shone brightly chasing away all darkness from the hill, there were three perches, each one large enough to seat at most five fully grown male dominants. Looking back, he noticed his third in command sitting on the earthen perch directly above where he and Noah sat. Nate nodded his head.

"Can I say something too, Felix?" Noah asked gazing over the darkened treetops with a sorrowful, longing look in his eyes.

"Of course." The future alpha responded.

Tilting his wolf head up, Felix howled. No doubt many would hear his message and it would invite rogues to trespass and attempt to attack but the borders would be heavily guarded by not only home wolves but ally wolves. His message was short, but meaningful, full of heart and of hope.

Wherever you are, my coronation for the alpha throne is next Tuesday. I want you to be there. It doesn't matter that you're rogue now, please come home, even if you leave after the ceremony ends. Please come to my coronation, Fang.

As he ended his howl, the future Mount Peak alpha heard a shaky sigh sound behind him and a sniffle from his side indicating that the two other wolves with him, was hurting as much as he was.

"My turn?" Noah asked, and Felix nodded.

Tilting his small wolf head up, Noah howled letting his message be heard all through the valley. His message was lengthy, sorrowful, full of pain, heartbreak and of hope.

Come home. Everyone misses you. Dad is always in a bad mood, mom cries a lot. Felix is always mad at everyone. Things aren't the same anymore and it doesn't feel like home without you. We all miss you a lot...I miss you and I want you to come home. You belong with us, your family, not out there. Please, Fang, come home. I don't like the way things are at home. Everything's quiet and no one smiles anymore...no one laughs anymore...I don't see Ben anymore because he only comes to Mount Peak if Jet does and Jet doesn't visit as much anymore. Please, come home. Only you can fix our broken family. Only you can make mom, dad, Felix, Jet, Ben, Jesse, Nate, me and everyone else better. Please come back...I miss you...and I love you, big brother.

Noah's howl broke at the last endearment, a sob escaping his throat. Sniffling, he glanced up at his brother to see the larger wolf staring straight ahead, a dazed look in his gaze and Noah was about to speak until he saw a shimmering tear slide down Felix's fur and fall to the earth near the smaller wolf's paw.
