Luke's POV

I took a deep breath in, turning to Calum.

"You really think this will work?" I asked my buddy.

"No, but it'll be pretty funny." He smirked. I raised an eyebrow at him. "Maybe. Jealousy sometimes works."

I looked over at Alicia, her beautiful blonde hair that was in always in two braids at school but looked better out. I took a deep breath in, straightening up my glasses, smoothing down my hair and fixing my suspenders. Here goes nothing. I thought, walking over to Acacia, the school's "popular girl" with a chocolate muffin and milk in my hand.

"Hey." I said to Acacia when I arrived at her table.

She ignored me, aside from shooeing me away with her hands, and I glanced quickly across the room at Alicia. She was watching, but with no reaction so far. I sighed, turning away. Then I remembered my last resort, the muffin and milk I bought with me. I turned around to go and give it to Acacia, but one of her friends stuck her leg out, making me trip and fall, the muffin and milk going flying.

They landed on Acacia's white outfit, and my eyes widened. She stood up from her seat and I could literally see the smoke coming out her ears. I pretended to cower into myself, as she screamed, shoved me as she walked past, and her little 'followers', well, following after her.

I returned to my seat, sighing as I sat down.

"Mate did you think that worked?" I asked Calum, looking over at Alicia.

"Probably not, dude. No one goes out with her." He said.

I sighed, looking over to the girl I'd had a crush on ever since she told me not to eat a plant in my front yard because it was poisonous. She was eating an apple, Eilenne, her friend, eating a sandwhich. they were laughing about something, probably my 'little' stunt.

"Apparently there's this fraternity party on the weekend. Invite only. Wanna crash it?" My friend Michael said as he sat down.

"Where were you?" Calum asked him. Michael looked across the room at the cafeteria doors, his girlfriend walking through a couple of seconds after I traced his gaze. "Dude, nice one." Michael and Calum fist bumped. I shook my head.

"Anyway, fraternity party means college guys, which means college girls, and maybe even some girls our age." I looked at Michael. "Oh, come on dude. We just have to wait like half an hour or something before everyone gets so wasted they won't care who turns up."

"I don't know, I mean, we have exams in a couple weeks and…"

"I heard Alicia's going." Michael said.

"Why would she go?" I replied.

"Really? She's the biggest party girl ever." He sat back, crossing his arms across his chest. "And damn does she look good in that red and black dress." I shifted uncomfortably.

"How do you know?" I asked.

"Cause I always go to these parties, dude. You should see her dance, mate."

"It's because you always stay in and study. She always gets Mali to cover for her. Sometimes Mali takes me to those parties as well, dude." Calum said.

I sighed. "She'll be there?"

"Probably in a slutty dress, too." Michael said.

"I'll go."

"Dude you have such a massive thing for her it's not even funny." Calum said, putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Shut up." I pushed his hand off of my shoulder. "I'm gonna go ask Alicia if she's going to that party." I said, getting up.

"She'll probably lie!" Michael shouted.

I chuckled, shaking my head as I walked over to Alicia.

"Um hey." I shifted awkwardly.

"Hi." She said in that voice she puts on. I don't question it, because it's probably for the same reason as me.

"Did you hear about that fraternity party this weekend? I heard you were going." I scratched the back of my neck. Alicia and Eilenne's eyes widened.

"Can I talk to you? Outside?" She asked me. I nodded slowly, and she grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the cafeteria into the empty hallways. Eilenne just had this worried look on her face.

Once we got outside the loud room, the quiet hallways were quite a contrast.

"Okay, who the actual fuck told you I was going to this party?" She said, pushing me against the wall, hands fisting my shirt on my chest.

"Uh, um, Michael." I stuttered out, shocked at her complete change in character.

"Fuck." She stepped back. "I knew I shouldn't have told that little shit I was going." She turned to me. "Do not tell anyone, and I mean anyone, about this, not a single soul, you got it?" I gulped, nodding. "and just to make sure," She added, coming in really close and putting her face so close to mine I could feel her breath on my lips. "I'll make sure that you're the centre of attention. You know, cause you can sing, and all. Also cause you put on that fake act." I nodded, not even daring to threaten her back with the same thing. "Got it? Now scadadale. No one needs to know about this little 'interaction." She put air quotes around the word 'interaction'. I nodded again, and she left.

I sighed, taking a deep breath. You could've kissed her, you idiot. I thought to myself. I shook my head, smoothing down my hair and fixing my glasses, walking back into the cafeteria. I looked over at Alicia and she was smiling with Eilenne again, and I wondered how she could go so quickly between characters.

"How'd it go." Calum asked as I sat down.

"She's going. And she called you a little shit." I said to Michael. He shrugged and mumbled something uncomprehensible. "What?" I asked.

"At least she was a good lay." He said. My eyes widened, and I stood up, drawing my arm back.

"Dude." Calum said, quickly standing up and stopping the fight-starter. "Don't do this here. Man, bro code dude." He said to Michael, and Michael shook his head.

"This was before I knew you liked her, dude, and before I started going out with Charlie. She's all yours, bro." Michael said as he cautiously sat down. I took a deep breath in and let it out before nodding and sitting down as well.

"Okay. Sorry."

"It's okay man."

I looked over at Alicia, sighing. No one would ever guess she had a night with Michael. But I assumed that if she was with Michael, she's been with heaps of guys. Which means she's really experienced. I shifted uncomfortably, trying to get rid of these thoughts. I couldn't have myself getting a hard-on right here, could I.

"Anyway," I sat forward, leaning on the table. "How was the soccer game on Saturday?" I asked Calum. He launched into this full-out description of the game, getting really excited over it. Michael kept on looking at his girlfriend, puling faces at her and such.

I kept on looking over at Alicia, although still listening to Calum. Saturday. I thought to myself. Then we'll see the real her, I guess. Or at least, I will.
