Chirp Chirp Chirp
I wake up to the sound of birds chirping early in the morning...how annoying. I turned around and covered my head with a pillow and tried going back to sleep. I still have a job interview tomorrow, I need to get enough sleep...
Why are birds chirping in the middle of the night?
I opened my eyes
Why was it so bright?
The chirping awhile ago....It was similar with my alarm tone. I lazily reached out for the phone that was on the table beside me. When my eyes adjusted to the bright light of my phone, I read the time.
9:00 am
I tossed my phone back to the table and went back to sleep...My interview was at 10 am...I still had time.
My interview was at 10 am
10 am....
Wait...
"It's already 10 am , when do you plan on getting up? I thought you had an interview?" I immediately sat up, surprised by the sudden voice and looked at my door. "Well? Get up!"
It was Yongguk, my....well, house mate? or roommate? I don't really know, he isn't related to me at all but we share the same house. And no...nothing's going on between us, okay?
I finally stood up after blinking a few times to get used to the bright sunlight coming from the window.
"Oppa....can you drive me there?" I asked as I walked to the door of my bathroom.
"Drive you there? No...Why would you need a part time job anyway?"
"Well, Unfortunately I'm wasn't born from a rich family, like you. So, I need to work for me to buy the stuff I want and need.Okay?" I walked in the bathroom and closed the door. I quickly took a shower, brushed my teeth and changed my clothes. Now I have to run there thanks to Yongguk. Why can't he just drive me there? Can't he just do this one favor? Especially since he's a son of a very rich man?
I ran downstairs and snatched an apple that I saw on the dinner table that I passed by.
The house is not so big. Two floors, three rooms, 4 bathrooms, okay maybe it's a little big but it's nothing compared to the house of Yongguk's parents. They live separately because of school, I was given the permission to stay here with him because I saved his mom's cat once when I was 10 years old. Lucky me~
Oh, what about my parents? Well, I don't know them. Yes I'm an orphan and I have decided to stay that way, but I do have a foster mother who loves me so much that she left me here to study while she was chilling in Europe looking for guys. Oops, I think I may have revealed too much...anyway...back to the story....
I looked at my wrist watch and saw that I only had an half an hour left to get to my interview. I was waiting at one of the waiting sheds, tapping my foot impatiently ,waiting for an empty cab to arrive. 15 minutes left as I went in a cab and went to my destination.
As if things couldn't get any worse there was some sort of accident and it caused an unwanted traffic jam. I decided to pay the driver and walk...wait...no, RUN to the interview. The piece of paper in which where I have written the address in in my hands. I glanced at it a few times, making sure I was on the right path.
10 minutes....
I bumped into at least 3 people when I have finally reached the place. The building was tall, it looked like it had a ton of floors, I didn't have time to observe the building because I only had 5 minutes left. I ran in and asked the front desk where the interview was.
She smiled at me and pointed to my right. I looked and saw a LOT of people lined up. What kind of part time job was this?! Is the pay really THAT high that a lot of them would apply?
I adjusted the shirt that I was wearing and fell in line with the others. I looked at them if they brought the same things that I brought, it's kind of like a checklist.
Papers....Bio, check
ID Picture, Check
After looking at what the others brought and comparing it with mine I have concluded that i had complete requirements. I was now relaxed and waited for the line to move. A group of 8 people entered a room that had two doors. Every time an hour passes, a group of 8 goes in. More people go in as more people line up behind me.
I was looking at a random spot on the wall when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I took it out and saw that Youngjae was calling.
"Hello?"
"Hey! Are you done with the interview?"
"No, not yet...there's a line here...a long one."
"Oh...just call me when you're done. Let's hang out after your interview! My treat!"
"Wah! Really? Sure!!! I'll just text you the address of this place..."
"Okay then...Goodluck!!!"
"Ne~"
He hanged up and I texted him the address.
An hour passed and another group of 8 went in the room. The line was getting short from my point of view. There was one thing that I noticed from the other applicants....some of them carried guitars. Some weird job I'm applying for huh? Who cares, I need the money for me to live. I continued staring at the same spot when I got bored. Good thing there were chairs here.
"Excuse me, what time is it?"
I looked to my left and saw a boy, probably about my age, one thing stood out from him and it was his blonde hair. I looked at my phone and told him the time.
"Oh thanks...I'm Junhong by the way, you can call me...um....Zelo" he held out his hand. "Ah Hi, I'm Sulli" I accepted his hand and shook it, then it became silent again. Time flew by and there were only about two groups left before our turn comes. I counted the people lined up before me. The person infront of me belonged to one of the groups that will enter before me, looks like I'm with Zelo then.
A bit of waiting and now it's our turn. I felt a hand rest on my shoulder. I looked back and noticed that it was Zelo's hand. "Goodluck"
"Goodluck too"
With that, the doors opened and we were escorted in.
