4.The One

Chapter Four

The hall is silent except for the occasional rumbling of thunder and flash of the lightning.No one moved or made a sound.The people on the staircase are still being hidden by the shadows so Alphecca can't tell whether they are males or females.

She gulped before gathering the courage to answer."I...I'mAlphecca Lee.Naligaw ako sa gubat s-so...I..I'm wondering if you could help me.Pwede ba akong mag-stay dito ng one night lang?Promise aalis kaagad ako!"

Kung may choice lang talaga siya ay kanina pa siya umalis sa nakakatakot na bahay na ito.The owner doesn't seems friendly and it's making her uncomfortable.But she needs shelter and food so she's gonna put up with it for awhile.

She heard one of them chuckle in a big deep voice."What a foolish little girl...You should've not entered here.Well,it looks like I'm gonna have fun tonight."

Alphecca's heartbeat quickened as she started to get scared.Something about what he have said made her feel that she might be in danger.

"What do you mean?"She dared to ask.

They stepped out of the dark which widened her eyes and made her gasp.

There are seven of them.Seven incredibly handsome men.Pero hindi ang kagwapuhan nila ang nagpagulat sa kanya.It is their red piercing eyes that caught her attention.Paanong naging pula ang kanilang mata?It's impossible unless they are wearing contact lenses or...or...t-they have been taking drugs.

She felt like crying.Una ay pinagtangkaan siyang patayin.Ngayon naman ay may kaharap siyang pitong addict na malamang ay high na sa pinagbabawal na druga.

Their eyes were cold and lifeless as the seven of them stared at her.

"You have no idea who we are are,do you?"

She gulped again.Bakit ba ang malas niya lately?All she do is get herself in danger.Paano kung i-rape siya nila at patayin?The house is in the middle of nowhere and there's no neighbors na pwede niyang hingian ng tulong.

She slowly stepped back,her muddy feet leaving tracks on the beautiful and clean tiled floor."Uhm..n-nevermind.Maghahanap na lang po ako ng ibang matutuluyan."Nanginginig niyang sabi.

The pale guy at the back who's wearing a black turtleneck jacket glared at her."Sa tingin mo ba ay hahayaan kitang makaalis dito matapos mong istorbohin ang tulog ko?!"

"She's cute though."The tall guy in plain white shirt grinned.

"She must be tasty and sweet."Pagsang-ayon naman ng isa pa.

Tasty?Sweet?Alphecca frowned.At anong akala nila sa kanya?Pagkain?Candy?Mga manyak!

The three guys started walking down the stairs habang ang apat naman ay bumalik sa itaas.As they ascend down to her,pakiramdam niya ay sasabog ang puso niya sa sobrang takot.

"Ahhhh!!!"sigaw niya na nag-echo sa buong kabahayan.

Sinubukan niyang buksan ang pinto pero naka-lock ito.She have no choice then.Mabilis siyang tumakbo palayo sa tatlo at papunta sa isang madilim na hallway.

Her footsteps echoed as she desperately try to see despite the dark.It's morning but because of the heavy rain ay mukhang gabi na.The hallway seems endless but she continue to run.She needs to get away from them.Mamamatay siya kapag nahuli siya.

"You're just waisting your time,stupid.You can't get away from us."Narinig niyang sabi ng isa sa kanila.

She feel hopeless.Totoo ang sinabi ng lalaki.Kahit anong takbo niya ay paniguradong mahuhuli pa rin siya at wala din namang tutulong sa kanya.Besides they know their house more than she does.

She freezed when she suddenly feel two hands on her shoulder.Paanong nandito na sa likod niya ang naka-turtle neck na lalaki gayong malayo pa ito sa kanya kanina?

Without any warning the guy put his head on her neck and she gasped as he suddenly bit her.Pero kung gaano kabilis nitong kinagat siya ay ganun din niya kabilis nitong tinulak palayo dahilan upang masubsob siya sa sahig.

"Aray!"Alphecca screamed a little but she quickly stood up and backed away from the three males.

Katulad niya ay naguguluhan din ang dalawa pa kung bakit siya tinulak ng lalaki.

"Damian...What's wrong?"tanong ng matangkad na naka-puting lalaki.

Damian didn't answer.The pained look on his face is still there at mukhang gulat na gulat din ito.

Pero kung meron man na mas gulat sa kanilang lahat iyon ay si Alphecca na naguguluhan sa mga pangyayari.Akala niya ay mga manyak na addict sila...so bakit siya kinagat ng lalaking tinawag nilang Damian?Imposible namang bampira sila diba?Vampires don't exist!Nasa 21st century na sila and people don't believe in them anymore.

"Bakit hindi niyo pa tinatapos iyan?I thought you are all hungry."wika ng bagong dating na lalaki.It was the serious looking guy earlier na sa gitna nakatayo.

"Zeltan.."Damian suddenly looks serious.Nakangiwi ito na para bang nasasaktan pa rin.

Alphecca don't understand.Siya ang kinagat nito diba?Dapat siya ngayon ang nasasaktan hindi si Damian.Well her neck is actually stinging a little but he looks like he's in more pain than her.

"What's happening here?"tanong naman ng lalaking naglalakad papalapit sa kanila kasama ang dalawa pang lalaki.

Oh great.She wants to cry.Now the seven of them are here again.Paniguradong patay na talaga siya.Wait!Paano kung cannibals pala ang pitong ito?Sayang at ang gagwapo pa naman nila...

Damian took a deep breath before facing all of his brothers.

"I think it's her.She's the one."
