Brendon's POV

Around four thirty, Christina comes back alone.

"Hey where's Epic?" I thought you always walked together." I tell her. She looks down and walks over slowly.

"We do. But...on the way, Cole came and told her to go with him somewhere."

"And you just let her go with him?!" I yell staring at her.

"You know I didn't have much of a choice Brendon! She told me to leave and you know how stubborn she can be."

"That didn't mean you had to listen to her." I say, grabbing my keys and heading towards the door. "Where'd they go?"

"About ten minutes away from here, on the (la la la la la) corner of Fourth and Fremont Street." I nod and leave, getting in my car before Christina can say anything else. I ride until I'm close enough to see them but they can't see see me. I quietly get out of the car so I can hear them. It's raining real hard now. Epic is pinned against a wall by Cole. Her shirt is on the ground and he's kissing our torso. At first I think she's enjoying it but then I realize she's crying.

"Cole stop!" She yells desperately. He doesn't stop though, he reaches down and unzips her pants. I run up behind him and cover his mouth before leading him away from Epic.

"Go away and don't bother coming back. She deserves someone way better than you." I whisper in his ear. He nods and takes off running. Coward (as Tobias would say). I run back over to Epic and take her in my arms. She cries into my shoulder. "It's okay." I whisper, "You're okay."

When we get to my house I take Epic to my room and she sits on my bed. I bring her some blankets and towels.

"You didn't have to do that." She says quietly.

"Yes I did. That guy was going to...do bad things to you."

"I know, but it's all my fault that you're soaking wet right now. I mean it looks like you're melting."

"Some people are worth melting for." Epic blushes and smiles a little. I didn't notice that I had leaned closer to her and that she did the same and before I knew it, her lips were on mine. And it was the most epic feeling in the world. No pun intended. But then she pulled away.

"I have to go." She says getting up. I grab her arm.

"Wait you're just gonna leave? After...that?"

"That...was a mistake."
