"Are you sure your okay?" Vic asked for the millionth time. I nodded my head yet again and Vic squeezed my hand gently. We'd decided to get out the house for a bit and go for a walk into town and ever since this morning I hadn't been able to get that stupid phone call out of my head.
I kept thinking of excuses of who it could be but my mind only kept coming up with that one person. The phone had rang three times today, twice when Vic was in the shower and once right before we left when I had to go back to get my phone which I had forgotten. I ignored it all of those times and I'm sure by the time we get back there will be lots more missed calls waiting for me.
"Ohh, a puppy shop!" Vic pulled me into what looked like a cute little pet shop and I groaned. He better not be thinking about buying one of those things. I mean I loved animals and stuff but I could never look after them for more than 4 hours.
"Vic, can we just go home? I'm really not in the mood" I said pulling my hand away from his and standing back as he walked quickly over to a rabbit pen. I crossed my arms and watched him pick up a tiny white rabbit and start cooing all over it. A small smile came to lips as I watched him, I've never seen him like this before and it's pretty cute.
I was rapidly pulled out of my Vic infested trance when a small tap came on my shoulder, scaring the crap out me to the point of almost falling to the floor.
"Oh my god! Sorry, are you okay?"
A smile came to my lips from seeing the young girls face which I hadn't seen for so long.
"Abby! Hey how are you?" I smiled at the shorter girl and she blushed slightly and then smiled back. She looked different from last time, was her hair always that dark? Then again I don't really remember her that well anyways, just her name and what she looked like, sort of.
"I'm good" she said her voice quiet and girly "I-I didn't think you'd remember me" she shrugged looking down at the floor.
"How could I forget you? Your adorable" I gave her a little wink and grinned when her blush seemed to deepen. I'm not going to lie, I kinda liked that I could have that type of affect on her.
"Kells!" Vic shouted excitedly from where he was kneeling on the floor. "Kellin get over here!"
I sighed and turned away from Abby with an excuse me and made my way over to Vic. Whatever animal he had hold of, I don't care how cute it is we are not getting it.
"Can we get her? Please?" He held up a petite white puppy with a little pink nose and big brown eyes. The minute I saw it I knew we had to have her, she was perfect and just so fucking cute. I took her out of Vic's hands and held her close, oh my god she is so small!
"Please kells?" Vic asked again stroking the soft fur of the puppy, I thought for a second, what harm could it do to get a puppy? It might even help me and Vic get closer and bond more.
"She's on sale" said a voice behind us, we both turned to face Abby's frozen face, aww bless her she's so awkward. Her wide eyes were looking directly at Vic and it was then that remembered that she was a big Pierce The Veil fan.
"Oh, Vic this is Abby, we went to the same music class" I introduced her to Vic and if it were possible for her face to look more scared than it was now then that's what was happening.
"Abby's a fan" I explained to Vic and he gave me look of realisation.
"Nice to meet you Abby" Vic smiled politely and Abby made a weird squeaking noise.
"I-I don't know if you've forgotten but... we actually went to the same school" Abby said quietly. "We had one class together and we were in the same music club and I always thought you were really nice" she blushed.
"Oh, I'm sorry I don't remember" Vic said and Abby nodded her head as if she was expecting it.
"It's okay, I didn't expect you too, it was a long time ago" she said and Vic nodded his head before turning to face me again.
"Please please Kellin? Can we please get this puppy that is my only reason of living?" He begged and I rolled my eyes.
"Only reason ey?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Don't worry your like a close second" Vic smiled and I gave him a mock shocked expression.
"A close second?"
"After food obviously" he said and I hit his arm lightly as he laughed.
"I'll think about it" I replied "we can come back tomorrow and see" I said placing the dog back down into its own full if it's brothers and sisters. Vic pouted and I had to stop myself from kissing his cute lips so I said bye to Abby and walked out of the pet shop before Vic could try and change my mind about the dog.
I walked down the pavement heading whichever way it went until I received a text that made me stop dead in my tracks. It was only a few words but they brought back all the anxiety I had felt the night before.
'You better watch your back because I'm watching you'
I quickly looked around me trying to spot anything out of the ordinary but saw nothing but people and cars. How did he get my number? And more importantly, where exactly is he? I looked down at my phone and all around me again. Fear was quickly building inside of me and when Vic finally caught up with me and almost scared me to death well lets just say that it didn't really end well.
"Oh my god vic! I'm so sorry" I hugged a moaning Vic to my chest, I'd hit his nose out of pure fear and now I felt terrible about it.
"Vic let me see" I said concerned for him but he was fine and waved it off instead.
"I'm okay, now tell me what's wrong with you" He said rubbing his eye "And don't bother lying I can see straight through you"
I sighed and closed my eyes momentarily before handing over my phone to him. I stayed silent as I watched Vic frown down at the screen.
"Who sent you this?" he asked looking around at the people walking by.
"I prefer not telling you here" I replied already walking back to where we had parked the car a few shops back. This was it then, I was going to tell Vic all about my father and yes I was bloody shitting it. I just hope Vic doesn't think less of me.
