A few minutes had passed by after I gave that stranger guy, a small smile. When I glanced at him, I saw that he was shivering. Well, how can he not when the temperature outside is already freezing and on top of that, the air conditioner had a really effective cooling.
So I removed my oversized brown jacket and held it to him. Just like transferring heat to another body but without any contact.
He looked at me as if he thought I had gone insane. But I had already worn a warm sweatshirt, which said, 'But first, I need a coffee.'
When I saw that he wasn't taking my jacket, I told him, "Just take it, if you don't want to die of freezing. There are obviously more adventurous ways to die, you know?"
He cracked a toothy smile at me and took the jacket from my hand. He wore it and uttered a small 'thank you' to me.
I diverted my attention to my new phone with a new sim. I thought of calling Grace, my bestfriend since many years. But I don't want her to get tangled up in this maze.
"Just go with it." The guy spoke up.
I looked at him with a raised brow, "Go with what?"
"Whatever you're thinking to do." He said with a silly grin.
I shuffled uncomfortably and muttered, "I'm scared of the consequences."
He looked at me with a look of understanding. After a few seconds, he spoke up, "How can you be scared of the consequences when you haven't even done anything yet?"
