"Do you really want to cycle?" He asked in disbelief.
I grinned at him excitedly, like a little kid receiving money.
"But wouldn't that be boring?"
He scrunced up his face.
I slapped his arm.
"Don't be an adventure pooper! We can race too." I said, jumping. Too excited to cycle. I remember I used to love cycling but as I grew up, I started having really busy schedule and then most of the times I was too exhausted to cycle.
He raised his hands in mock surrender and turned his GPS on. This town was on a sea-side and was quite metropolitan.
We found the cycle shop from where we could borrow cycles for sometime. His cycle was pink. And mine was blue. The irony.
"This is not fair, princess! I wanted blue!" He said running behind me with his cycle.
"Come on, dimpled guy. You ain't a kid so suck it up!" I said, winking at him.
We reached a beautiful walking/cycling track which was on the seaside. The whole picturesque was admirable. The sea was crystal blue with birds hovering around it. As if protecting the sea from the foul eyes. The sound of the sea mellifluous. So soothing, that it would make you forget your woes.
Near the sea, there was a beautiful beach on the other side. Right now, it was totally secluded. You could see it from here. If we get time, I'll try to convince dimpled guy to go there.
On the other side, of the path where we were cycling, was a garden. It was Autumn. So the leaves of the trees looked tragically beautiful. Orange mixed with yellow. A dedication to their God, The Sun.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" I heard the dimpled guy speak.
I looked at him and replied, "Words aren't enough to describe this beauty."
"Shall we start the race? Or I should say ready to lose?" He asked, shooting me a smirk.
I nodded and said,"The race begins."
And soon, we were off to our undestined destination. In midst of crunched up and dried leaves. And beautiful petals lying on the track.
Pedals and petals are a certainly good combination.
