Can I Talk To You?

Lucas looked from his mother to his two girlfriends and sighed.

Brooke placed her hand on his. "Go, tell them, the longer you wait the worse it'll get. Trust me."

Lucas looked back at his mom then he took a deep breath and stood. He walked over to the two best friends laughing about something they did when they were kids and frowned. "Can we talk?"

They looked up at him. Riley smiled, but Maya didn't. Lucas tried to smile, but it was hard.

He gulped. "Riley, can I talk to you? Alone?"

Riley's smile widened and Lucas watched as Maya's face fell.

Maya looked down at the table and Haley frowned reaching out to hold her hand and offer some comfort. Riley lept up with a wide grin.

"Of course, Lucas. We can always talk, about anything!" She exclaimed happily. Lucas looked back at his mother and she gave him a nod.

He sighed and took Riley's hand then they walked off together.

Farkle and Zay saw and walked over to Maya.

"Aren't you going?" Zay asked the same time Farkle demanded to know what was going on.

Maya sighed. "Nope. He wants to talk to Riley alone. It's time to end the triangle and move on."

Zay frowned. "But he didn't choose Riley. Maya, what you heard on the train was just a middle part. We were talking about you and him."

Maya shrugged and stood. "I don't care. As long as Riley is happy I'm fine. Lucas and Riley, it's the way it's supposed to be." She stood and pushed in her chair. "I'll be back. I'm gonna go look at some sites."

Maya walked off before anyone could stop her.

Brooke stood up and walked over to Haley. "Where is she going?"

Haley sighed. "To get some air probably. Lil' Lucas just went to talk to Riley alone so she didn't want to hang around here anymore. Can't blame her." Haley sighed.

Brooke frowned in confusion. "Why not? He is breaking up with her."

"What?!" Zay and Farkle shouted at the same time.

Haley looked at Brooke. "Are you sure?"

Brooke nodded. "Of course I'm sure. I told him to." She stated.

"Why?!" Farkle snapped.

Brooke turned to him. "Because he loves Maya. Who are you?"

"I'm Farkle! Their best friend!" He yelled.

"Excuse him, he's in love with Riley." Zay said.

Haley and Brooke nodded in understanding, but Farkle spun to Zay upset.

"What?! I am not! I have a girlfriend and besides Riley loves Lucas!"

"Dude, even your girl knows, why do you think she broke up with you before we took this trip?"

"We didn't break up! She said we should take a break so I can be single for this trip in case the situation changes and I still don't know what that means!" Farkle yelled out in frustration.

Zay rolled his eyes and gently put a hand on each of Farkle's shoulders then he sighed. "Okay, follow my train of thought." Farkle rolled his eyes, but nodded. "The situation, meaning the triangle, will change when Lucas picks one of the girls. If he chooses Riley then Smackle has no need to worry because you and Maya are just friends. If he chooses Maya, then Riley will be single so Smackle thinks maybe it would be easier on you if you were single too, because when Riley needs a shoulder to cry on it is gonna be yours."
