Chapter 8

Tommy's POV-
We had set up camp, of course one of the first things I did was start to tell a story. "So guys, when I was a kid my parents told me a story, it was about the monsters and why they're dangerous." I started. They all sat down beside me and stared, probably expecting the story. I sighed. "Once, when the world was young, the monsters and humans lived together in peace. But that all changed when the emperor of all monster waged war. The humans were powerful enough to kill the emperor but his descendants still lived, and the humans thought that they would do the same thing as their father. Hundreds, no thousands of years had past and not a sign. Until one day they saw them disguising themselves as humans. A war broke out between then and a group of warriors. Six of the seven were killed, the last one escaped. And legend says that she had a child, and that they were plotting revenge together." I finished. Dawn seemed worried, Cory looked angry, but Ashlie, Nick, and Uni seemed distracted. "Wow Ashlie, I thought that you would like to go hunting for the queen and her child. You are a monster hunter, right?" I asked her, becoming curious. " I don't know...." she said before getting up and going to explore the forest. "I say we follow her, she's been acting different for the past few weeks." I suggest. "I don't know Tommy-" Nick started, getting interrupted by me, of course. "Let's go!" I say, going in the direction that she went. When we found her she was playing with some kids. What are kids doing out here? Like I would tell you. But Em- No. Fineeeeeeeeeee. "Hi there mister! Come play with us!" the older looking girl, though she still looked about 8, said. She pulled Uni out of where he was hiding. "Tag! You're it!" she yelled, tagging him. "W-what?" Uni stuttered, obliviously confused. "I call time out!" the other girl said, "I'm Luna! That's Dani and Ashlie! What's your name?" "I'm Uni. I'm actually one of Ashlie's friends." Uni said, a little less nervous. Dani walked up to Uni and sniffed him. "You smell like her. So I believe you!" She said smiling. My eyes widened, she's a werewolf. I carefully pull out my throwing knife and take aim.
