Chapter 11

She tried to scream but nothing came out, tears began to form and suddenly the person entrapping her was gone. She felt the evil presence was gone and replaced with something else. Jessa turned to see who is was. Before her stood Jungkook holding her gently, "You don't need to worry anymore," he said and embraced her petting the back of her neck. Shivers went down her spine as she felt relief.

Jessa awoke with a start and she breathed heavily for a moment. She assessed her surrounding but the last thing she remembered was being on the floor in the kitchen, then she saw Jungkook sat on the floor beside her bed, fast asleep. He was still holding her hand. When she tried to release her hand from his, his grip grew tighter.

"Jessa! You're awake," he turned around and knelt beside her bed and held her hand in between both of his. 

"Yea," she nervously laughed as she remembered what happened the previous night.

 "What happened? Soup was everywhere," he asked, thinking nothing was wrong and it was just a simple mistake.

Jessa bit her bottom lip to bite back her tears. She couldn't hold them.

Jungkook's soft smile turned to concern, "Jessa? Can you tell me what happened...please."

She tried to catch her breathe and she hugged her knees. Jungkook joined her on the bed.

"One of the staff members, h-he, he came over and he," Jessa choked on her words, "tried to, he just-"

She nuzzled her face into her knees and wept. Jungkook wrapped his arms around her, stroking her back softly, "Take your take Jessa, take your time," he then rested his chin on her head, his eyes were beaming with hatred for the man who made Jessa feel so awful. 

"He seemed really nice, but then we started t-talking some m-more and he started saying he wanted to get close to me and he ran after me," Jungkook clenched his teeth at this, "he grabbed me in the kitchen and started t-touching m-me. So I hit my head against his,"

Jungkook nodded trying to contain his anger, "Can you tell me him name?" 

"Min-Jun," Jessa let out a whimper and began crying again. Jungkook patted her back gently.

"Jessa, I'll be back in a while," she looked up at Jungkook, "That son of a bitch is going to pay for this."

Jungkook stormed out of the room before Jessa could say a word. He slipped on his shoes and slicked back his hair with his fingers.

He went to the lobby and exited outside where, just outside the gate hundreds of paparazzi were lined up shouting and snapping pictures.

"Is it true that you're living alone with a woman!? What's her name?! Are you in a relationship with her!?"

Jungkook darted back inside and into the elevator. He pressed his back to the wall and dug his phone from his pocket. His phone was flooded with messages from the members and producers wondering how the information was leaked.

Jungkook dialed Bang Si-Hyuk's number. He answered almost immediately, "I need you to get rid of a staff member named Min-Jun."

Si-Hyuk ignored his request, "Jungkook, how did the information leak? Did Jessa tell someone? How are we going to fix this mess, the whole world hates that girl right now." 

"Bang Si-Hyuk, please. Min-Jun was the one that leaked it. He came to the apartment, tried to- he did awful things to Jessa and she hit him...He leaked it, please," Jungkook felt his eyes well with tears as he waited for Si-Hyuk to respond.

 "Okay...I'll get rid of him, but Jessa needs to go," his words caused Jungkook's heart to sink and he fell to the floor of the elevator, "We can't have that girl be seen and have her safety, and yours be compromised. Let alone your reputation needs to be rebuilt."

Jungkook held his hand to his face and lifted his knees, his tears fell.

"Jungkook? Are you still there?" Si-Hyuk asked.

"Only for her safety..." Jungkook said.

"Huh?"

"I don't care about my reputation or my own safety. But if anything happened to Jessa..." Jungkook said and he hauled himself to his feet.

"Jungkook, do you really care for her?" 

"I love her...so much."
