"Okay, which one of you is Seungcheol?" Some asked and Seungcheol shot up "Please come this way, sir." Seungcheol got up and left Joshua by himself, everyone had gone asleep out of exhaustion. Taking the opportunity to open the note and read it,
Poor kid, oh how I loved him.
Why do I do this when I could just kill you, Seungcheol?
Why?
Spare everyone else's innocence,
It's not fun doing it this way,
but I have to continue.
Ah, but why do I want you dead.
I don't know,
I feel as though only God knows the answer to that.
Joshua read the note several times, unable to believe it's contents. There was no reason, no context - it was purely for fun? He stood up and looked around at the people sleeping around him; it had finally sank in that it was one of the people around him, and he didn't know who.
"What do you look angry about, Josh?" Wonwoo asked him, in a sleepy manner. Rubbing his eyes he blinked a few times, squinting at Joshua to try and figure out the problem. "Oh, you found a note too?"
"What?" Joshua questioned, looking down at the paper in his hand that Wonwoo was now pointing at. "This? How do you know about these?"
"Found one in Minghao and Seungkwan's room, but left it there - I thought I'd be next because of it."
"Why" Joshua wasn't sure if Wonwoo was lying or not, but figured he could be at least somewhat trusted.
"It basically just said that whoever found it would die next, but that clearly didn't happen unless Chan somehow went into the room and found it first." Joshua moved closer to Wonwoo, "Look, I don't know who it is. I currently have my suspicions about Soonyoung, but then again - Junhui's sketchy."
"He finds you just as sketchy, he told me earlier when we were trying to find Chan." Wonwoo's eyebrows furrowed.
"Well he's wrong about that," Wonwoo leaned back in his chair "I wouldn't kill everyone in this order - killing Mingyu first would be too obvious. And Seungkwan? No way, I'd kill him last."
"Please don't talk about this so nonchalantly, Wonwoo." Joshua's voice trembled.
"Sorry, I can't help thinking about that sometimes though. Get inside of the killer, that's what I'm trying to do. It isn't really working though."
"Well, they're after Seungcheol. So it isn't him, and I've been through all of this with him - so it isn't me. I now know it isn't you, and it definitely isn't Mingyu, Seungkwan or Chan."
"It's not Minghao, he stuck next to me this entire day - I can't see how it's possible to shoot someone in the middle of Seoul from our apartment. Especially when I'm watching."
"Weren't Jihoon and Hansol making dinner?" Joshua added,
"Yeah, but Hansol did leave to go buy something... milk, I think for a little while." Wonwoo pointed out "We're getting somewhere, but there's still plenty of suspects."
"Just about everyone else left the house at some point while Chan was out," Both of them sighed once they realised they'd hit a dead end.
"Yes, and now he's out for good." Seungcheol startled them both slightly "I'm glad to know you're on board Wonwoo; but in other, more pressing news - Chan's dead." Joshua stood there, unsure of what to do. Wonwoo took the action of waking everyone up and telling them.
"We can trust Wonwoo, right?" Seungcheol whispered to Joshua
"I mean he's pretty sure he'll get killed soon but for now - yeah,"
"I'm not even sure I can trust you entirely, Joshua. Even you left whilst Chan was out." Seungcheol mumbled, Joshua felt a slight pang of betrayal but understood how Seungcheol felt. "You probably hate me now, right?"
"No, it's reasonable. I understand."
"He's dead," Seungcheol whispered. He looked at everyone, and then Joshua "And of one you is going to be next,"
