Seungcheol woke up in a much calmer state than what he had been for the past few nights. He sat up and peeked over at Joshua, who was still asleep in his own bed. Creeping over just to make sure nothing had actually happened and that Joshua was still breathing, Seungcheol held out a finger under his nose. Leaning back and breathing a sigh of relief; Seungcheol stepped out their room to do his daily rounds to make sure that everyone else was still breathing.
"Jeonghan... still breathing, and Jun... still breathing," Seungcheol mumbled under his breath "Minghao... thank goodness he's still breathing, and Wonwoo - still breathing," he stepped over the piles of clothes in Soonyoung and Seokmin's room and put his finger under Soonyoung's nose "Well, he's breathing. And Seokmin? Breathing. Well at least their still alive for me to tell them to clean their room today,"
Seungcheol made his final stop in Jihoon and Hansol's room "Why does this room smell so... bad? Wouldn't at least one of them realised this? Hansol's not the deepest sleeper."
"Oh, you're awake Seungcheol..." Hansol said, his words were a little slurred due to how tired he was "I just woke up, it doesn't smell good in here. What's the smell? I woke up not that long ago because of it but I figure it was just something natural."
"And the smell's still here?" Seungcheol questioned, Hansol lazily nodded "Jihoon's still asleep, right?" Hansol nodded,
"As far as I know, Jihoon's asleep - I wouldn't know otherwise." Hansol flopped onto his back and pull his phone off his side table.
"Well, I'll check if he's breathing - okay?" Hansol didn't respond "Okay, are you breathing Jihoon... please be breathing,"
"He should be breathing, Seungcheol, if someone had come in here last night - I would've heard them."
"Don't speak so soon, Hansol," Seungcheol said. Hansol shot up, almost causing his phone to drop onto the floor,
"He's not dead, though? I would've heard?" Hansol rushed over to where Seungcheol was standing "But, it does explain the horrible smell." His voice went to merely a whisper, "How?" Hansol breathed "I should've heard."
"Unless it was you," Seungcheol muttered, he hadn't intended to say that out loud. "Oh, sorry,"
"It wasn't me, Seungcheol - I can assure you that much." Hansol said, Seungcheol couldn't see but Hansol did look rather offended by his statement "Shouldn't we be telling the other about this? Jihoon's dead, are you just going to stand there and stare at him?"
"Yeah, that's a good idea, and Hansol..." Seungcheol looked at Hansol right in the eye "I really didn't mean what I just said,"
"Uhuh," Hansol grumbled as he followed Seungcheol out of the room. Hansol sat down on the closest couch and turned on the TV - any kind of background noise the block out the sound of his own panicked heartbeat. Did Seungcheol just think he was acting? Doesn't he believe him? "But then again, who should he believe?"
"What was that?" Jeonghan sat down next to Hansol and snaked his arm around the younger boys shoulders. "Are you talking about Cheol?" Hansol nodded "What's he accusing you for, I'm assuming I'm here because Jihoon's dead."
"How'd you know?" Hansol raised his eyebrows.
"Your room stinks," Jeonghan replied "so I figured it had something to do with Jihoon since he isn't sitting here with you." Hansol nodded "You know, you shouldn't trust any of us at this point."
"I know, but I can't help it. You guys are my friends, there are plenty of you who's trust I have to throw out the window just because one of us is killing everyone," Hansol sulked, looking at Jeonghan for support and reassurance.
"I can't really help, Hansol, you could be the killer - heck, I could be the killer, you just don't know." Jeonghan removed his arm. "Just know that. everything's okay, and you can stay in Chan's room while the police investigate."
