Chapter Twelve

"Hey, Soph, Elena and I are going on a double date with Caroline and Matt. Why don't you come and bring Tyler?" Stefan said inviting me and being the only one talking to me in our household.

"Really?" I said excitedly.

He nodded and I called Tyler and he agreed to go.

Damon wasn't even home much anymore. He came to get blood or to sleep then left. He couldn't stand the look of me. I'm surprised Stefan is being so understanding with me. When we were kids, Stefan and I always fought and disagreed. Damon was always there to protect me; until Katherine came along. It was always about her and she made sure of it.

Stefan and I picked up Elena while Tyler, Caroline and Matt were meeting us at the Grille.

"How are they?" Elena asked trying to whisper to Stefan forgetting I could hear her.

"I can hear you." I said with an attitude while Elena looked guilty. "And why don't you stay out of it."

"Sophia." He gave me a look to shut up. "He won't even breathe in her direction."

I sat there quiet, staring out the window while they talked about me like I wasn't even there. Finally, we got to the Grille and the others were already there.

Caroline waved to us and Elena and Stefan waved back while I smiled towards Tyler. We walked over to them and I gave Tyler a kiss while Stefan awkwardly stared at us.

"He's not gonna hit me, is he?" Tyler whispered in my ear.

I laughed and looked over at Stefan who laughed a little.

"No, he won't." I laughed some more.

"Well, I'm starving. Let's get some food then play some pool?" Matt suggested.

We all agreed and went to go sit at a table. We got a large pizza that we all shared.

"This is so greasy. I am not eating this." I said. Everyone looked at me and thought 'seriously?' "Just kidding!" I laughed and put two slices on my plate. I'm the type of girl who isn't afraid to show she loves food, cause food is life.

We finished the pizza and talked for a little bit before playing pool.

"So, Sophia, when did you stop living with Stefan and Damon?" Caroline asked.

My eyes widen and so did Stefan and Elena's. "Um, well they both lived with me and my aunt but left to come here and live with our uncle. I didn't want to come because I'm more of a city girl." Stefan smirked knowing I was good at lying.

"I want to play pool." Tyler said breaking some silence.

We all got up and walked to the pool table. Elena, Matt, Stefan and Tyler played pool while Caroline and I watched. Caroline was telling me how annoyed she was getting that Elena and Matt are bringing up old memories. She made Elena and I go to the bathroom with her while the boys continued to play.

"Elena, what are you doing?" Caroline asked irritated.

Elena looked confused. So I decided to help her understand, "Caroline thinks you and Matt still have feelings for each other, but I told her she was delusional."

Caroline looks guilty, but still irritated.

"Caroline, I love Stefan. Matt and I just have a lot of memories with each other, that's all." Elena assured her.

"Fine. Lets go." Caroline said while exiting the bathroom.

We followed her back to the boys when someone suddenly stopped Elena and I. I knew him.
