Chapter 14

                   Selena's P. O. V

Monday morning,getting ready for school. I'm absent in five days, Iwhole week. For sure my teacher gonna yell at me. I miss a lot of lesson in all subjects. Today I don't feel I want to go to school,but I promise my friends. I don't want them to be upset at me.

I take a deep breath to relieve the thoughts,I take my bag and closed the front door. I walk in the street,which is my routine every time I go to school. I finally arrived, I walk straight to my locker.

I hear a laughter, but I ignore them I continue to put my things. The footsteps getting close to me, I turn my head to the direction of the voice I hear. I saw them, yeah them! Justin and his girlfriend, they both happy. Why do I always seen them happy? Does he knows what his girlfriend doing in his back?

I think they noticed me that I'm staring,cause they both stop laughing.I turn my look away and closed my locker. I try my best to take it a longer so that I can't passed them.I saw Jasmine walking now passing Justin,as he walk slowly.

I look at him and he gave me a smile. I feel like I could melt in my place right now,those smile that killing me.I smile back and walk,but he stop me.

I turn my face to look at him then I ask "What? "

"How are you? You've been absent since that incident happened"He say,I know his just concern to me.As a friend,I can't help but to think if why is he care?

I ask him "Why do you care? " I don't want those word to let out in my mouth.

He furrowed his eyebrow "Because I'm your friend, that's what friends do"He smile.

I felt upset and disappointed of he just say, his concern to me because I'm his friend. Okay Selena,don't assume that your more that his friend.

I smile trying to make it real "Okay, I'm doing good. Thanks for your concern"After I say that I walk faster before he could speak I turn my back.

I enter my classroom and take a sit on my place.I waited there,the teacher finally arrived. We stand and greet them, and sit back after we do that.

She gaves a things to do,a lot of works. After that while we were busy at works, she call my name.

"Ms.Gomez,maybe we can talk later in lunch time"she say and I was standing now .

"Yes Ma'am"I say and nodd and take a sit.

As the time passed, the more nervous I got. I'm nervous of what my teaxher say about my absent.And for sure a lot of question is she gonna ask. The bell finally rung,meaning it's lunch time.

My palm started to sweat, my knees I think I'm going to die right now. I walk in my teacher office,before I open the door I knock twice.And I twice the door knob, I walk inside and sit in the empty seat.

"Good Afternoon Ms. Smith"I greet.

"Ms. Gomez, your absent in five days.What happen to you?"She started to ask and everytime she let a word out in her mouth, I don't what to respond.
I'm nervous.

"For some reason Ms. Smith, I'm so sorry. I don't let these to happen again"I look down and she stared at me.

"What happen? "She ask and I look up,my eyes started to tear.

"It's a family problem"After I finish that, the tear start to fall in my cheeks.

"I understand Selena, I know it's hard to you. But your suspend in two weeks"My eyes grow wider,I didn't expect that would go there.

"But Ms.Smith you can't do that"I say trying to beg her,not suspend me.

"I'm sorry Selena, rules are rules. If you're absent more than three days,your receive a suspension for two weeks."she say and I my tears is now streaming down.

"Ms. Smith please, I can do whatever you want."I say now I'm standin on my seat begging to her.

"I'm sorry Selena, but we can't obey the rules. You know the school rules, I understand your situation. But Selena don't let that affect your life, especially your studies.You know how important the school is."she say and sigh,maybe she understand me but she doesn't gave me a chance.

I nodd and stand up in my sit, so I'll be staying at home in two weeks. I walk out the room and dry my cheeks with my palm.

I'm walking in the hallway, while looking at the floor.I don't want them to see my eyes, for sure they going to ask me what happen.

"Selena! Wait! "I hear my bestfriend voice taylor running towards me.

I turn around and look at her "What happen? "she ask and I frown.

"Tell me what happen? "she ask again these time she's worried.

"I'm suspended in whole two weeks"She was shock and I just stare at her.

"But why? "

"That's the rules"I reply quickly.

"Stupid rules,did you cry? "she ask looking at my eyes.

"Yeah tay, I know I'm being dramatic in many days tay.But I hope you undrestand me.Tay I want to die,I don't deserve these. First my mom left me, second I got suspension and what's next? I think I don't want to know what's the third want. I want to die right now"My voice is low and I'm crying right now.

She hug me and rub my back slowly trying to comfort me "Don't say that Selena,we're here for you. These is just a challenges in your life. Don't gave up, everything happen for a reason"She say and released the hug.

"I want to go home now"I sob.

"But the school is not finish yet"She say.

"No tay,I want to go home. I don't mind if this is not the time"She just nodd.

"Selena! How are you? "I hear a voice but a male voice it's not Justin voice, it's someone familiar.

I turn my back and I saw Zayn,standing beside me,I didn't reply I walk away. He called my name to stop me.

"Not now Zayn "I hear tay say to zayn.

I walk way to the exit of the building,I go in the park to clear my mind.
