[Tim's P.O.V.]

I woke up to a bright light. Squinting, I found myself back in my room. My doctor, Nurse Ann, was standing in the doorway of my room, talking to Gama. "He's going to be fine, Nancy," Ann told my Gama. Nancy was Gama's real name. "Just make sure he's taking his medicine when he's supposed to." "But how, nurse? I'm just an old lady who cleans and cooks for Tim. I can't keep an eye on him twenty-four-seven," Gama answered. "Well, Nancy, I think its time you give him up," Ann whispered.

I sat up immediately, startling Gama and Ann. "You can't take me away from Gama!" I shouted, trembling in fear and anger. Out of random instinct, I jumped out of bed, grabbed my pill bottle, and climbed out if my bedroom window before anyone could stop me.

And I ran. I'm not sure how far, or how long it took, I just ran until I collapsed to get a breath of air. I didn't know where I was, or even WHEN I was. I didn't even want to know what time it was.

After about ten minutes of sitting on the forest floor, I hear a snapping twig behind me. I spin, coming face to face with a girl. "Darn it," she growled, "I almost scared you!" The girl had indigo eyes and hair the color of sand at the beach. Reaching out with her hand, she said, "My name's July, like the month :)." Reluctantly, I grabbed her hand and shook it.

"My name is Tim," I said simply, only now realizing the boringness of my name. It shocked me. "Why were you trying to scare me?" I asked, now curious. July smiled, saying, "Because I have nothing better to do and it sounded fun to scare you at the moment! Hey, it looks like you've been running. Why were you running?" She sits down next to me as if I just told her to have a seat. Ok, I'll admit, this girl was kinda cute. Literally the only girl I would EVER call cute. EVER. "What makes you think its ok to sit next to me?" I ask, rolling my eyes.

"Well," she sighs, " you seem like a nice kid. Plus I couldn't read the pill bottle standing up like I was." I looked down at the pill bottle, turning it so she could read the label. "So," she continued, "did I just catch you running away from home?"

I nod slowly. "A nurse was trying to convince my Gama to give me up to the adoption system. And Gama is the only family I really have left."

"Well I have a cabin out here in the woods. Me and my brother live there, if you want to join us." I smile, nodding. This was one of my many stupid ideas. As July and I were walking, I tripped over something. Looking back, I saw my cam-corder lying on the ground from last night.
