A New Chapter To My Life
Max is only 16. Losing your Mother from Breast Cancer is never going to make you happy. He felt misery, pain and guilty. For some reason he had a gut feeling he was the reason his Mum had to die and suffer this way. Maybe he did something wrong in life, and this was his punishment. He didn't even get to say goodbye..... His Dad told him
"She would want us to move on". But how could he? Losing the closest person you know is never good at this age, or any age! He just lay down with hands holding his head in his dark emotional bedroom. He had just moved into this decent house with a decent neighborhood. After his Mum's pass, all the money had been bought down to his Dad. His Dad wasn't exactly the best he could live with. Most nights he would come back with woman he had picked up from the club. Mum never liked his behavior at all. Hopefully after the tragedy, his Dad will stop that. Along with his drinking, smoking, drugs..... but Max knew he would always bring pain. His Dad had uncontrollable anger issues, and always seem to take it out on him with beating his son to death. Sometimes Max would think
"Why did Mum have to suffer through death? She was the only innocent person in this family and in my life! It's not fair." He checked his phone to see if anyone had messaged him while thinking about depression... and his Mother. He had appeared to have no messages. He didn't think he had anyway, he's starting his first day at his new school tomorrow, so at the minute he didn't hardly have anyone to talk to. He pulled the cold covers on his freezing body and snuggled up trying to get warm. Closing his eyes, attempting to think positive.
The next morning, it was warm and sunny. But still didn't seem to brighten his mood. He quietly sneaked by his Dad's bedroom door. Trying his hardest to not wake him while snoring his head off. Max packed his favorite lunch 'Peanut Butter Jelly Sandwich'. Which is also his Dad's favorite. Mum would always pack both of them a well organised bag of her amazing Sandwiches! For a minute of him thinking it, it made him pop out a smile, once in a long time. He decided to leave a plate for Dad. After all, he did work hard to help them live in the decent area. He grabbed his bag, lunch and phone, walked out the door attempting to seem confident about it.
Arriving at the school, it shocked him about the appearance of the building. It seemed to stand out from the whole town and the top main windows would glisten by the direction of the sunlight! Students seemed way more better behaved compared to his old trampy school. This place made him feel content and excited!. Maybe this is a start, to a good new chapter of his life.
